OK, so I know im late to this party. But i read an article today on evenews24, and Perhaps this could fill my boredom.

If i fit out 2x max gank catalyst
Eft says
1200 per volley
620 dps

Can i take out a hulk? mack?

It would be a 30mil for 200+mil trade off. Might be fun, might not be.
I ask for the knowledge of those who came before me before i invest in 16 days of training and a couple hundred mill in hulls and fittings.

Thanks

I like to have my cake and eat it too

620 damage per second within the 30 seconds of survival time before CONCORD shows up (620x30=18,600 raw damage)

Given the damage types of the ammo you're using (Void, I assume) are kinetic and thermal (with a particular blend) against shield, armor, and hull resistance to that type of damage, you can calculate a few outcomes compared to various fittings of Hulk and/or Mackinaw.

In PYFA, I can set a particular damage profile (in this case, the kin/therm blend of Void) to be applied to the ship I'm fitting out (in this case, the ship to be shot) and check the EHP. If it's more than the overall damage output of the ganking ship within its time frame of gankability, you might not be able to pull it off.

Alternately, you could try to gank some random Hulk or Mackinaw you find. That's what you were planning on doing anyway, right?

Hope it helps.

Full rack of t2 guns a sensor booster warp scram or disputer. 3 gyro stabs and 2 hybrid weapon rigs. You should be able to solo a hulk in a .5 system.

If taking 2 people macks and hulks are valid targets in a .6

Check our killboard to see the fits we use. and happy hunting

Too much EFT warrioring from you people for just a gank. Get out there and just shoot it and see!

I wear my goggles at night.

Any spelling/grammatical errors come complimentary with my typing on a phone

I think EFT hurts more people than it helps.

It gives false expectations to new players.

I used to use it and never won any fights.
The minute I stopped looking at EFTs meaningless figures and started going on gut feeling I started doing ok.

TBH - It's a useless program for people who want to pvp. It's ok for working out PvE fits.

The test server and a friend to fight will teach you more in an hour than EFT ever can.

Ignore Battleclinic fits too. 99.99% of them are fail - even the ones with lots of votes.
Lots of votes usually just means lots of people are stupid.

I disagree, EFT is great if you plug your API into it so that you don't have to do all the math on what will actually fit to your ship with the skills you have. I just hate the people that fit ships with all level 5s, then post a fit that only works if you have a tengu/loki/legion or all three alts boosting it.

Although, I am getting close to not having to use API on a couple of characters because they do have all level 5s. Clone costs suck outside of FW systems.

Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the wise. Seek what they sought.

Use EFT (or something similiar.)

This isn't woodstock. Your feelings don't mean ****. You need to use science.

It's 10 seconds in a 0.5...
8 secs in 0.6
6 secs in 0.7
4 secs in 0.8
2 secs in 0.9
1 shot in 1.0

Where the hell do you go for a 30 sec Concorde response time?

I think I read somewhere that Concord response times are dramatically nerfed when Exotic Dancers are present in the system.

there's probably a correlation between ganker tears and when t2 mining ships start loading a flight of ec-300

Find Hulks, use a passive targeter / ship scanner. Figure out which ones actually have a tank / factions mods. Then determine whether it fits your damage type. Also check to see if they are actually running their tank.

Warp in, overheat and gank. (0.5 System works well).

I, too, use Gyros to increase the power of my blasters.

It's a super secret fitting strategy that virtually no one knows about. Keep it quiet, eh?
