The Night Beagle experiment

Night Beagle,

I just found out about this via Ripard's blog. Each of the CSM8 interviews I do takes around 3 hours of my personal time. It's around an hour and a half to prep each interview, best part of an hour to record then a further 30 minutes to edit and post it.

If this was a research project (and it clearly wasn't but hey, let's say it was), you consented to an interview on Crossing Zebras knowing that I would have to spend a considerable chunk of my personal time on it. Those three hours I could have spent interviewing another candidate or, god forbid, with my wife and six month old baby daughter.

What an absolute, utter, odious little prick you are.

I am ******* furious right now. I'll await my apology.

Your responce will be recorded in his glorious research (did you know that he's not only a college student, but also a lawyer in real life?!?), and analyzed in order to produce better trolling results.
Though it is unfortunate you've wasted your time, his ****** platform could have been a hint that him running for CSM is a joke, even if Beagle was serious about it.

Oh of course I could see his platform was a joke. I told him this (in a far politer fashion) during the interview. However, the point of the Crossing Zebras project was that any proper candidate could have an interview irrespective of how efamous they are, their platform, all that jazz. It's supposed to be a completely open 'thing' available to everyone. So to have NightBeagle **** all over that is pretty ******* disgraceful.

Well to be be honest, I believe he was serious with his plans, even though they seemed like they were made by a mentally challenged kid.
But seeing as the EVE community is very supportive and polite people made fun of him so much he decided to invent this "project" crap, to try and save face.
No one really believes it, but still.

This times 1000. It is quite clear that the supposed "research project" is a misguided attempt at saving face. It is far easier to claim it than to see yourself not even get the 200 votes to make it through the primary (note the timing on his post)

Wow, you got me, I was making up the paper...or not. Who can say now what I really meant? Can one trust me whatever I say?

I am happy to say that somebody even put a bounty on the character. Only 25mils, though. Some people value so low their satisfaction...

The question remains on why the campaign raised so much outcry, why so many people invested so much PR power to convince me (or everybody else) that it was a bad idea and I am bad candidate?
From the goodness of their hearts? No such thing here.

Some tried to use every trick from the book to stop me from running. Now you try to get me banned form forums and impede my EVE play :)

Guess what, I am providing content for the community, isn't this what you asked from me?

It must be that I was doing something right. How about you kind souls enlighten me... is being different so scary for you?

I quoted Gandhi in one of my posts. I'll do it again just to show how far we went: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."

And I will close by stating that this is the best proof that things can get out of hand fast, CCP should respect the privacy of candidates, and take the best measures to protect the CSM members.

Comparing yourself to Gandhi is ridiculous. You both have one thing in common though, in the end you both got owned.

Sorry, but the OP does not read like something written by a researcher - it reads like something written by someone pretending to be a researcher.

You simply don't have the language skills to pull this off convincingly. Better luck next time.

Can we get this moved to Eve Fiction?
