Bringing WH corps to forums and PVP

a.k.a let's build up the community.

A few undisputed (more or less) facts:

-Many complain that little corps POS-up when see the probes.

-We all saw the stagnation.

-no small corp can successfully oppose large invaders

-Comparing the number of WHs and PVE with the number of people active in this forum, we are missing many people

Proposals?

PS I'd like to see the CSM candidates more active and hear their opinions on that.

Some people will not use forums no matter how hard you prod them.

Some people only care about PvE because its so easy, predictable or whatever, they wont PvP alot of the time unless you really force them too. If you make is so they have to PvP to survive they will just leave wormholes.

I think the best thing to do is encourage isk making here to tempt more and more bears in. It means more targets for those higher in the food chain and some of them will develop into PvP'ers once they realize counting pixels in their wallet isnt that much fun.

In the last few months most of the bears have been removed from c6's now there is nothing left apart from wormhole standoffs when to get a fight you got to jump into a wall of dreads. The big corps are too entrenched and if you try to a longer term campaign against 1 of them you will end up with all their butt-buddies on your tail aswell.

What does this do? It creates power-blocs in a similar way to nullsec, coalitions and stagnation.

WTF do forums have to do with WH activity levels?

I remember a little thing called this.

Just because you/your corp can't stand up to massive blobvaders doesn't mean other people can't.

Not everyone can hold a Narwhals Ate My Duck director hostage in their home hole.

You remember about that, and Narwahls, and other corps...but where are they now?
Where are the days of epic fights?

Epic fights are rare in w-space and always have been. This is what makes them epic.

If you really want more pvp corps in w-space, evicting C6 bears is not the way to do it. Most startup w-space corps are not going to go straight into a C6, they're going to get their feet wet in a lower class hole first.

Suggestions for more pew in w-space:
- Evict reaction farmers in desirable lower class WH (This ofc will not happen, because who wants to spend the time to take down multiple large towers without dreads and with no hope of a fight, and a pretty low likelihood of any decent loot? Not me, that's for sure.)
- Sell holes to startup pvp corps, help them move in, and teach them about security so they don't just get all their stuff stolen inside of a month, say bugger this and leave.
- Take out WH roaming fleets more, particularly in the lower classes where there are still people that don't recognize your corp tag and will happily engage you with a T1 fit drake fleet.
- If you do find smaller fleets willing to engage, don't welp them so hard that they never want to engage you again. Make it fun for them too. After the fight, you want them talking about how they almost had you, and what they'll do next time to improve. You don't want them setting you negative and saying "That was lame, we'll just POS up if we see those dudes coming again".

The fact that you have to :effort: to get pvp in w-space is why I love it so much, though I admit some days it can be frustrating. But tbh, if you want pew on demand you are probably better off joining RvB or something.

As the FC responsible for the ship to ship fights in that article and as one of the founders of Narwhals, I can tell you that we are all still here and just part of different organizations. Such is the nature of EVE, alliance names change but the killing stays the same. This, of course, is as true in wh space as it is in null.

Please refrain from using us as an example in this ridiculous campaign agenda, one so nebulous that it barely has more visible matter than the vacuum of space.

How about this. Why dont we all pick a system and bring all of our toys in it. Like everyone. We can bring 100ish people on both sides of the engagement and bring capitals to boot. Oh wait... we already do that once a year.

WH PVP is fine as it is. The reason you think its stagnant is because you live (read lived) in a c2. C2 gets a lot of traffic cause of HS exits, but that usually ends in ganks and jumps through HS to save a ship in structure. If you want good WH pvp I would suggest moving to c5s. But I can see you have already tried that.

Good pvp happens everywhere, not just in c5/c6. Bigger (more numbers) fights happen there sure, but it isn't the only class of wh's that offer good pvp.

TLDR:

His food doesn't come to him, Jack. Probably another troll but it bears saying: C5-C6 corps rolling around 4:1 or greater in Tech 3s with Falcon/Guardian support shouldn't be expecting to get "good fights." Gank somebody and move on.
