Hi guys.
I tried to scan moons today.
Problem is in survey probe description it says: SCAN PROBE LAUNCHER
Which is is it? where can I get it? Only probe launchers on market are core one and expanded one.

Did look for guides and all mention scan probe launcher. few months ago I did scan for moons but I cant remember what I usedStraight
Did ccp changed something?

nvm
its expanded probe launcher.

feel like noob nowOops

Hello Doracos,

As you have already found the answer to your first question, I will point you as answer for to your second question to this guide about moon mining. Remember also that it is not possible at the moment to harvest any materials from moons in systems with security status of 0.4 and higher even if your scan probes show materials available there.

For what it is worth:

Core Probe Launcher, Expanded Probe Launcher = Scan probe launcher, i.e. it is a category and not a specific item.

The key difference between them being their capacity:

* Core Probe Launcher: 0.8 m3
* Expanded Probe Launcher: 10 m3

Survey probes are rather large (5 m3 or 10 m3), hence they only fit in an Expanded Probe Launcher. This is probably also why scanning bonused frigates have such large cargo capacity.

And it's not possible at the moment to harvest any materials from moons in WH's ether.

Is it a rock point a lazer at it and profit. Is it a ship point a lazer at it and profit. I dont see any problems here.
