What I've learned reading the EVE-O forums

James and the NWO are perpetrating their movement as a response of broken SOV mechanics which is the cause of the Big Blue Doughnut. This tasty pastry was caused by AFK cloaking and the supercarrier drones nerf.

It goes deeper, the supercarrier nerf caused CCP to realize the truth-- they hate drones. They then embraced drone aggro as a new paradigm in high sec mission running. Realizing high sec mission runners would be upset they also nerfed missiles.

With afk mission running no longer viable, mission runners would be forced to sell their mission boats, buy a spiffy new Hulk, and turn to mining as their only remaining source of afk gameplay.

Ergo, SOV mechanics are not broken they're engineered that way on purpose; CCP likes doughnuts and afk cloaking; hates drones, missiles and afk gameplay and wants everyone to lay down their guns and go bump miners.Shocked

Well, there's just way too many inconsistencies with this OP to point out so I'll just jump on the biggest one :

Your logic is flawed. CCP would love nothing more than to see the doughnut gone and 100 times as much ISK beeing destroyed in null every day. And so would I and anyone with common sence.

Oh, come on - afk cloaking is not afk gameplay, it's simply afk. If that's the biggest quibble you have with the OP then it must be solid.

What is the difference between afk and afk gameplay?, being cloaked in a system has pretty much the same impact no matter if someone is sitting at the computer or not.
