My client after launching is black. I can hear the audio, even log in. But still can't see anything

I have similar issues. It's not consistent. I'm also getting long delays on seeing, for example, market orders or agent offers. These windows often come up black and it's a few minutes before they load.

I just booted into one character and noticed the following:
[1] Clicking the character from the character selection screen to actually being in station was something like 2 minutes. In the mean time, clicking on the character again (becasue I didn't know what was happening) just resulted in a warning bleep.
[2] When the character eventually loaded in station, I requested a mission from an agent and that window was black for something like 5 minutes.
[3] A friend logged on and his portrait stayed on screen for around 2 minutes.

Same here, but slightly different:

1st client runs fine and as normal, 2nd client doesn't even get to the login screen anymore: black screen, plus it eats up so much resources that the entire computer almost freezes up (huge delays on any action after clicking something).

My Macbook Pro OSX 10.7.5 patched the client this morning.
Now when I press play nothing happens at all.
Eve becomes a zombie process that must be force quited before a restart can be done.

UPDATE: Force killed EVE once, ran unsuccessfully 2x then did a restart on the computer

The client seems to be working now.
