Everyone likes a challenge. Here's a miner who says he knows how to keep from getting ganked and he's so good at it, he's going to prove that no ganker can take him out.

What do you think? Can a miner keep from getting ganked for 3 consecutive hours against a determined ganking crew?

Your question was can a miner avoid getting ganked for 3 hours, my answer was yes. What makes you think I want to waste my time chasing around someone that I believe is able to avoid getting caught?

He's not botting or afk mining.

He's not crying about ganking being unfair.

I have no reason to gank him.

Yes, you can avoid getting ganked whilst mining. However, being that diligent while doing something as soul-crushingly boring as mining would probably turn anyone into mental wreck within hours, unless youre autistic or something.

its no deterrent to artillery. 30+ seconds of damage front loaded before the rep hits, a single battleship will usually frontload enough to alpha an exhumer.

I setup my alt with a full ehp build - t1/t2 mixed = 32k ehp (lowest net resist) on a hulk, which can be alpha'd by battleship + something cheap like a destroyer. (go up a class for more certainty). If you eft up something with silly modules and full leadership boosts, you can get a bit over 50k, which is both tempting to gank and can be dealt with by 2 battleships. Most hulk pilots don't have the full shield skills mine does either.

when mining ore, you can gain reduced warp time by having an SS off a tangent to the belt and cherry pick mine whilst moving, but you cannot really mine at aligned speed - so there is still some delay getting into warp. Haven't figured it out with orca mining range boosts, but I thought the whole cycletime, low count of objects mined in ice mostly prevented movement ice mining. None of that prevents organised ganking, just makes it harder for the wannabes.

the moment you undock, you are fully susceptible to a gank. given enough man power, isk and time, NO ONE can escape a gank if they truly wanted you dead. no exceptions

Possible? Yes.

But the bottom line is this - If someoen wants to gank you....your gonna get ganked. Period.

Just a matter of when/how/with what.
