Fleet bonuses - only from squad commander?

I`m trying to get skirmish bonuses from wing commander and armored warfare bonuses from squad commander, but it`s not working. ONLY getting bonuses from the squad commander.

Is this how it`s supposed to work?

Your wing commander can only pass bonuses if he has the wing skill trained to the corresponding number of squads in that wing. So wing 1 means he can run a max of 1 squad in the wing. Wing 5 means he can pass bonuses to a full wing of 5 squads. Empty squads still count against your wing commander so make sure you only have as many squads as he has levels of wing command.

I am only used to small squads but I think it flows down the fleet window.
So a fleet or wing leader can not receive bonuses from a squad leader.

The squad booster also only effects his own squad.

Assuming both boosters have the correct skills and are in the correct fleet positions, anyone below them in the hierarchy should get bonuses from both.

If both give the same bonus, only the larger bonus will be passed on.
If both give different bonuses, both would be passed on.

When I finally do make an impact on this universe, it will reverberate across the entirety of it, and no one will be able to truthfully claim they don't know me. - -

Until then, I'll just sit quietly over here, minding my own business...

OP, buy two better boosting alts with T3's from the Character bazaar. That should fix your problems and make you a pro solo PVPer.

Because fleet commanders don't hand out bonuses from link T3's.

Pretty sure you can have fleet, wing and squad commanders as separate t3 boosters all handing their full complement of boosts to the 9 other people in that squad.

Done it a few times.

Confirming this works, but not exactly like you might anticipate.

Assume:

FC -> WC -> SC -> Squad member (4-13 man fleet with appropriate skills)

Fleet Commander Pushes Skirmish Boosts
Wing Commander Pushes Armor Boosts
Squad Commander Pushes Siege Boosts

Who gets what you ask? It goes like this (as odd as this may sound)

Fleet Commander gets Skirmish boosts only (Expected)
Wing Commander gets Armor boosts only (Not Expected, and didn't use to be this way prior to Retribution)
Squad Commander and Squad Members receive Skirmish + Armor + Siege boosts (Expected)

In our fleets we have Orca Alts in all three command positions. Our Orca's are speedy bird fitted and cap stable.

We always put Skirmish boosts in Fleet Commander role so all Orca's USED to get Skirmish speed boosts. As of now, not so much for the Wing Commander. What?

We had a similar problem.

We had a Vulture in fleet with two Skirmish Ganglinks as wing commander
in the fleet window, it didn't show that the boost are applied. just from the squad commmander.
Also the mouse over of my MWD showed the non-boosted speed.

I've just tried it and got up to the boosted speed.

So I think it's just an UI-Bug

There is a wing and fleet command skill. You have to train those.

Confirming there is a UI-Bug if you have Fleet window open while fleet is built, it will show no boosts being applied.

Close the Fleet window and re-open and "Magic" happens, and then all is well, except for Wing Commander; he only gets the boosts he pushes just like the Fleet Commander does. (which I consider a bug)
