I want to blow up Orcas in high sec. I have 4 accounts and im willing to train them all to do it. Is it possible? If so, what 4 ships would be best used to accomplish this.

Load EFT and fit a well tanked orca. Look at HPs. Divide with best alpha.

ask in local for help .

Blow hard enough and your Orcas inflate up like balloons and they start to look like Leviathan, just fatter.

This post contains a lot of EFT-ing and as such, should probably be ignored in it's entirety. Oh, and I apologise of the hard to read format. It is not deliberately bad, just drawn that way.

*Theory Crafting Hat On*

The lowest HP I can get of an Orca is 66,290 with an assortment of cargo mods and rigs (Uniform Damage Distribution).

The Concord Reponse Time in a 0.5 system is ~30 seconds.

In ~30 seconds an Max Skilled Arty Tempest can put out around 25000 damage points using Quake ammo to an optimal range of 15km*.

To the Quake damage profile - the aforementioned Orca has roughly 71000 hp.

3 Perfectly Skilled Arty Tempests could put out 75000 damage in 30 seconds.

You'd need a guy scanning Orcas to find a low HP fitting and you'd need a Hauler to pick up the loot drop.

5 Guys to pull off the operation with no room for error.

Of course this is assuming a cargo fit Orca.

To a Quake Damage Profile:

Vanilla Orca Hull (no mods/rigs) - 93000 HP - 4 Tempests
Orca with a Damage Control II fitted - 184,000 HP - 8 Tempests
DC II and a Reinforced Bulk Head II - 220,000 HP - 9 Tempests
DC II, Reinforced Bulkhead II and some other tanky stuff (mods, rigs and implants) - nearly 300,000hp - 12 Tempests

*Used a Max Alpha Tempest fit (t2 mods, ammo and drones, t1 rigs) - probably not the most cost effective setup. Also, there are other ships (like the Dominix or Hyperion for example) that would have a much higher DPS (not volley). Over 30 seconds the damage output would be far greater but the engagment range would be on hell of a lot smaller - requiring a good warp-in.

Hope this helps ?

Edit: Further Insomniac EFT-ing indicates that, within a 30 second window, you could take out a cargo optimised Orca with two max skilled Ravens spewing Inferno Rage Torps (Thermal damage - the weakest resist type fot the totally untanked Orca)

Half-competent Orca-pilots (even when cargo rigged, which I bet almost every Orca is) won't waste their mids. Expect 2x Invuln 1x EM 1x Therm, or buffer or hell even dc2 (especially when travelling).

AFK-cloaking in a system near you.

Yeah, I'd love to have a crack at it myself. It can be done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taWVDEiU-2Y

In looking at those Orca kills, I notice a range of 194,448 ehp down to.. well very little ehp.

I wonder..
Is this level of ehp typical of Orca pilots?

What about Orcas with something like.. just hypothetically now..

261,693 ehp?

What would it take to take out one like that?

Be nice. If nice not work, be civil. If civil not work, beat with iron pipe till bloody and still.

Orca killing made easy:

Take your high dps battleship pilot and hang out in the recruiting channel. Play the role of a newbee who bought his new character and wants to mine!

Join a corp.

Go on their "mining op." Warp onto their orca pilot with your Hyperion.

Collect tears.

Leave corp, then join the next corp.

When your new corp asks about your old one (if they even bother to check), explain that "those guys were never on."

You should be able to rinse through about 5 or 6 corps before it gets too suspicious.

Then just sell that character, buy a new one, and repeat!
