You should find alternatives for income
I understand where you're coming from I'm just under 3 months old
But I already have over 700m and I will soon have 1b
My first two months I didn't earn much money As I mainly did ratting and selling off some ore I mined
However I did find alternate sources of income mainly trading and hauling, I do lvl 3 soon to be lvl 4 missions and get a few million per mission on average
I also produce a large amount of goods each week that I sell on various markets. Sometimes I pay others to haul for me and travel to that region later to sell.
I also use my EVEProfit program I put in the market discussion thread
I also collect money on loans and bonds


Basically once you have a bit of money play with it in the market :)

If you want to do something mindless (mining/missions) the income should not be as high as doing something that requires initiative or intellect (for example, trade).

The economy is pretty well balanced. If you really need ISK, you have the option of purchasing PLEX.

Do what the smart people do with level 4s, use alts in missions, and blitz them in under 5 minutes!

I was into Faction Warfare an made decent isk...But it was from mindless waiting on buttons...which is so boring /yawn

For now I expect to stay broke..Chance of good rat loot blows its a race for sites in highsec..Missions lvl 1 2 3 don't pay enough lvl 4's are annoying.. Mining is boring.. Worm hole ... I need more skills..

PVP is great but not much reward other then just some action..Less your killing Battle ships ever other day in FW which I never did...

Get in a noctis and salvage your Corpmates level 4 missions.
Or get in a 0.0 corp and do some anomalies, because you only need to skill for one specific NPC type you will be able to kill Belt rats and Anomalies with low SP.

You said you tried FW but sitting on buttons is boring. Trust me its one of the best ways to generate isk and learn PvP. Capture a few mediums per day (how much you get depends on your factions tier level) then use that LP to purchase items at the LP store, sell them (faction battleships) and fund your PVP.

A 1 week old character can do this. You DO NOT need to fight every war target that tries to get you. When you have enough isk to lose, you can then start taking fights as you see fit. Those plexes and acceleration gates are prime PvP hot spots. I'm having far more fun than in null sec and in my opinion the opponents are much more skilled as well.

Your in the middle of what I call the 3 month lull. You've experienced a few things but have not yet found that one thing you can latch onto that's fun and supports your gameplay. This game is what YOU make of it.

Posting in a I'm unemployed, and haz 12 hours a day to play. However I'm still a poor thread.

I started with zero ISK and Zero SP and made not a single peep to any one.

within 3 months I was buying PLEX from the market with 500M isk left over to flip and twist on the markets while my PVE char slowly but surely became a better Drake pilot.

Then I started a 2nd account with a dedicated merchant in Jita, slowly 50M isk turned into 225M isk, then 485M isk, then 775M isk then 1.25B isk, plexed and was left with 900M isk (plex was 300 at that time)

then, I turned my mission runner into a little bit of a trader to, while running missions, on the 5th month, I had amassed 5B isk.

Its not hard, if you really want it enough you will get there.
