Backstory:

A few days ago I caught wind of a deal going on Amazon.com. The basic deal gave 25% off all digital purchases and as they sell PLEX I went off to buy some and save some cash. At the confirm order page I completely forgot to put the discount code in the box and ended up paying full price for the PLEX.

I immediately contacted Amazon via e-form and asked if there were any way my discount could be applied retrospectively. The customer sales rep came back and stated that he had instead cancelled the order and then refunded my dollars so that I could re-do the entire process.

I got that response on Saturday morning and decided that I would buy the PLEX a little later as I wanted to check my market orders. It was then that I found that I had been banned.

I have reported this via petition via this character and via the webform to my personal email address. However, jack **** has happened has happened to the petition filed through this character and the only thing that has happened to the petition I have out via the webform has been a GM stating the reason I was banned was because of the refunded cash but he didn't say what would happen and how to rectify the situation, he just asked why Amazon had issued the refund.

I don't give a damn about the PLEX at this point, I just want to be able to log in. So far it's been 3 days without access to my character for absolutely no good reason whatsoever. I understand completely that this may look like suspicious activity but steps surely must be taken faster than this.

I waited until after 1700 on Monday just in case there was only a skeleton crew of GMs on over the weekend however after waiting all day its very clear that the GMs don't care about my situation at all, not even to give me a 20 second update to say "Hey TradeMe, nothing has changed this end and we're still working on the problem but rest assured we're working on it".

My banned character is coming toward the end of its skill train as well as being inaccessible. I'm literally paying for a game I can't play.

Please help. Don't try to champion the GMs, I couldn't give a monkeys about how busy they are, they have had 3 days to give me any kind of response. Don't try to tell me off for opening multiple petitions, if I had left it at my original petition nothing would have happened by now. At least my second petition has had some form of action taken on it.

Don't worry I'll just make sure they'll answer your petition immediately and cancel your ban with my magical non-GM normal subscriber powers.

3 days mate? Bad luck, my friend had to wait 7 days to have his permaban for trolling in local changed to a 2-week ban. That was during the week. Don't expect much.

What category did you file the petition? Did you ask for escalation? Did you respond to the GM's first response?

So you ask for a petition to be resolved on the forums. Then you bad mouth GMs. Then you tell us not to defend GMs? Do you honestly expect a post like this to get you anywhere?

So basically you're upset because you got banned over the weekend, and you filed multiple petitions which CCP frowns upon, and also you apparently buy things on Amazon without actually looking at them.

The GMs will get to your petition as soon as they can, I imagine it will take longer now, since they have so many more petitions to go through than just the first one you submitted.

Passes all my checks against 'man in the middle' and other hacks. Question is now only, 'Does amazon have the right to make said offer?'

It seems that everybody has a mirrored store on amazon, on top of their own website, with amazon offering cheaper shipping rates lol.
Seriously, CCP should just let amazon handle the logistics for the now shut-down eve store.

All great replies with absolutely no worthwhile content to add and in most cases, pathetic trolls.

I'll address these in turn:

It was over the weekend!

Yes and they answered but then did nothing and nothing has happened over the course of today, a normal working day. Where exactly do you put incorrect bans in the priority list of petitions? Maybe it should be at the bottom so the innocent party can wait even longer for their access to be returned? If this isn't one of the top priority petition types then I don't now what is.

Why would posting on here help?

GMs regularly read the forums as do other members of CCP. In the absence of any other way to contact someone this is my last resort. Plenty of other people have taken this action in the past over less trivial matters/pointless arguments (see EVE-Uni ISK removal thread) whereas I'm doing this as I have literally no other way to contact CCP. I'm aware that this is not a normal or recognised method.

You submitted multiple petitions

Already answered, read thread THEN post.

You can't even order something from Amazon correclty

Wait you asked for a refund at what point? Did you use the codes first then ask for a refund? I'm not sure how they would of been linked to your account if they were not used yet and they somehow had to be linked since they knew wich account to ban...

Scratch all that. Just went on amazon and the account are linked for the purchase. Well then it goes to the kinda well known charge back policy yeah...

Moral of this post: don't shop whatever from Amazon.

Click "account management", choose the number of plex you want, pay, move on. I know it's not funny as situation but dealing with any one else than CCP is increasing chances you get this sort of nasty stuff.
Just by from CCP instead of Amazon next time

You were banned because what Amazon did was essentially a charge back, for which it has always been CCP's policy to autoban the account in question.

As far as CCP's answering your petition, cut them some slack, let them actually investigate the issue, determine what happened, contact Amazon maybe. Did it occur to you they might be waiting for someone at Amazon to get back to them so they could resolve the issue? No, you just went full nerd rage and blamed CCP for following their own internal policies.

Then to compound your utter dumbassedness, you came to the forums to find champions for your plight, when all we can do is either commiserate with you or mock you. As most of us have little sympathy for stupid at the levels you seem to be generating, option 2 is really all you're going to get. You are not a special snowflake, you will not get special treatment, and you should have double checked your order before hitting submit, like a reasonable person.

Finally, accept that this entire situation is, in fact, your fault, for failing to complete the entire order form right in the first place.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.
