Goons threaten me at Uedama (Freighter)

BULLSHIT, here I dont even carry cargo worth 50m, (probably around 39m), and yet they want to suicide kill me.

And yes I've read all those thread about suicide ganking at Uedama by Goons, I have to pass this system or I have to take another route which takes me 45 Jump to my destination. I dont want to do 45 Jump with this snail freighter.

Then I arrived on stargate at Uedama. A girl approached me and she said she want to play with my big boy. She then shaked my big boy, bumping it preventing it from warping out. Extorts to pay her 50millions or her fleet will come and squash my big boy. Just the heck I don't have that much money, I just bought this thing for one and half billion. If she just let me pass to my destination and get my things then I might have that money.

There's also other guy beside me riding a Propechy, asking he's going to help me by webbing it for insta warp, to do so he sent me a duel challenge so he dont get popped by concord. Since I never used and dont know this duel ****, I declined, and logged off asap before one of alt in ibis put aggro timer on me for 15 mins and I'll be a dead meat.

I came back with my alt, and look around again, there's also another unfortunate guy getting his big boy shaked by her, a few secs later a group of brutix and talos (around 10 of them) appeared and surrounded him. All of them are goons

I dont really know what happened, that obelisk suddenly gone from the map and these brutix-talos warped out.

My freighter now trapped in here . Now what should I do?

Log in, warp out. They could easily have ganked you after you logged off. They didn't. Thus, they likely had no intention of ganking you, they just wanted to scam you out of a bit of cash.

So you violated the first rule of Eve by flying something you can't afford to lose, knew a system was dangerous and went in anyway and admitted to not reading patch notes about new game systems? I think you should get that kind philanthropist in the prophecy to web you. He seems legit.

Don't respond. If you get yourself into a position where they can bump you indefinitely, do not respond in chat. They want tears and by responding you're giving them what they want.

If you're not aggressed, you could always try repeatedly logging on and off to get some distance off the gate. Each log off warps you 100,000k in a random direction. When you log back in it's supposed to warp you back to your original spot. Repeatedly logging in and out resets that initial spot.

Not anymore. They fixed that exploit.

Heads up: EVE isn't a nice place...people will kill you for what ever reason they can think of, it doesn't have to be for profit all times.

Also...only 5 accounts and you are already impressed that much....

The normal risk vs reward calculations don't really apply to goons.

The entirety of Goonswarm was founded on the principle of having fun by ruining the enjoyment of others. They have close to limitless resources and see Eve Online as an interesting distraction from their normal activities on SomethingAwful.com. The only currency they are interested in are tears and they will happily blow a billion isk to get them. If you struggle to understand this mentaility then you will likely never understand goonswarm.

The very worst thing you can do when a goon starts griefing you is respond because they will just target you more. By forum posting I fear you may have put yourself on their permanent "watchlist".

Ignore their convos and what ever you do DON'T pay them 50mil to let you go for **** sake! DO you seriously think they will? You just make yourself look like a chump which will make it even worse.

Nobody will gank you if you are carrying less than 200mil, they claim they do it for the grief but they don't. Its for the ISK.

Just stop talking to them, don;t accept any convos, dont pay any isk and don't accept any duels for goodness sake!

Do this the easy way....

Take out a courier contract with Red Frog Freight. They will move your stuff for just a few mil.

I have used them countless times, and no longer haul stuff myself.

Welcome to Eve!

If you really think you are trapped, perhaps Eve is not the game for you.

The gank threshold is actually around 500M for a freighter. That said, some people will gank your freighter just to gank your freighter. I would not be surprised if a couple people run locator agents on you for the next two weeks just to randomly gank you.

If somebody wants to gank you they will. My advice is to insure your ship, don't carry more than 500M in cargo and just relax about it all.
