Hello everyone, I just wanted to say hi! I am a new player of EVE Online and hope to see many of you in game.

I had a question though: what is the best way to make ISK? I was going to start as a miner, but my corp told me it is really boring to do that. What else do you suggest?

Try everything...there are no limits.
After some time you will find the playstyle that fits you the most.

^^ That. And if somewhere along the way, someone tells you “don't do X until you have Y” (where Y can be some amount of SP or a specific ship or class of ships or… anything, really), smack them in the mouth and call them clueless n00bs, safe in the knowledge that, while you may be more of a newbie than they are, you have already learned far more about the game than they ever will. Best way in high sec is incursions, but that'll take you a while to be able to do. For now I'd do FW or mission running if I was you.

You could also make a bit of Isk by scanning down cosmic anoms and the clear them in a kiting destroyer. Cheap ship to fly and easy to clear with if you can maintain your distance properly.

Experiment a bit, find what you like doing best, and do that. And yes, you don't need a zillion SP to do stuff. Sure, it makes some things easier, or more profitable etc. but basics will allow you to try it out and if you like it, you can train up further into it.
Also, keep in mind, Bigger =/= Better in Eve, a single rifter flown by a 2 week old noob, with tech 1 fittings, is still another rifter with a tackle/web/whatever to annoy/threaten someone in a fleet pvp. You'd be surprised at how scary a group of say 20 miners is when you all give them the tech 1 frigate of choice, and send them out ahead of your main fleet to engage war targets.
And if their ship blows up, pat them on the back, say good show, and give them 10 more.

Funniest is, if you do this a while, some of them start asking for cruisers or other toys, and how to fit them properly... Eventually you'll get a bunch of them to grow claws..

Does railgun ammunition come in Hollow Point?

Making ISK in the first few weeks is tough, not because it can't be done, but because there is so much to learn. Play an hour then read an hour is a good rule of thumb for the first month or 3.

Your clones are free now, and its short money to fit a rookie ship with MicroWarpDrive and a couple or nanofiber internal structures. I use those all the time for scouting and mapping, they are surprisingly effective. Setup region wide buy orders for skill books and go around, pick them up, and bring them to places where they sell at a profit.

Explore lowsec, and null, get blownup! Try bumping ships out of align at gates, and scanning their fits and cargoes. learn your D-scan.

Join one of the trader channels and ask if they need a runner for anything, explain that you are brand new to the game. Talk to people in game. So many new players get lost to the ISK grind its refreshing to find one looking to experiment a bit. People will "help" you. Some of what they do will not seem helpful, but all lessons about how the game works are useful.

Be fearless, you have little to nothing to lose. Use that fact to your advantage, its one of the few that you have.

Best of luck, and welcome to New Eden.

Hey all you galactic fools, I'm also new and plan to burn all of your ISK . . . or spend it on some cheap Amarr fix.

Hey, you created me. I didn't create some loser alter-ego to make myself feel better. Take some responsibility!

Welcome to the game, another thing which no one mentioned is Faction Warfare, which can earn you pretty good isk and will get you started in PvP, you may want to train up some combat skills before you start. Good Luck.

One of the core things I could suggest you begin training into no matter what path you chose is getting some PI under your belt. It's latent isk making and depending on how long you want to check up on it you can make enough to cover the majority of a PLEX.

Making money via piracy (what I did for a while) is very inconsistent and you must always double check to make sure the money you have spent on a ship is paid for by the isk ransomed/looted by the time the ship dies.

Best of luck in your endeavors!

Running courier missions
* very low SP entry, low SP range
* pretty safe to very safe
* very low income unless you know the tricks
* moderate to low micromanagement
* boring

* extremely safe to extremely unsafe
* very low income to very high income
* high micromanagement
* slightly interesting

Marketing/merchandising
* low SP entry, moderate SP range
* pretty safe until you start making expensive shipments
* depends on your micromanagement
* as much as you choose to do
* fairly boring

Scamming
* no SP entry at all
* not as safe as you'd think
* for most people: no income at all, but some profess to make tons doing it
* moderate micromanagement
* extremely boring unless you frequently talk to the people in local

Probe exploration
* low SP entry, high SP range
* moderately unsafe
* no steady income--like gambling
* high micromanagement
* boring to exciting

Ganking
* low SP entry, high SP range
* tricky and unsafe
* no steady income--like gambling
* fairly high micromanagement
* can be very exciting

Nullsec sovereignty control
* very low SP entry, extremely high SP range
* only as safe as you make it
* you're lucky if you profit off of it, most people spend money to do it

^^ this last one is where you spend all your ill-gotten money Pirate

My advice is just trying a bunch of those things, seeing which you enjoy the most, and keep doing it.

The activity that makes the most ISK is the one that you do for years because its fun, not the activity that has optimal ISK/hour but you get bored of 2 months in.

This.

But be prepared to throw out your first character once you find out what you want to do. Depending on how long it takes you to find your groove that is.

The best way to make money is stealing things from people. It takes relatively little effort and no character skills at all. If you want to get really advanced you can train up to a scanning ship and hauler and rob a wormhole.

Also join a player corporation and start killing people. Not necessarily the people in the corporation you join, but that can be a good way to make money too.

I'd actually advise against killing corpmates, as I and many others keep lists of known AWOXers and we refuse to consider these people for recruiting. I won't tell you how to play your game, but you have the right to understand the consequences of your actions.

Dance on a mailbox outside the AH in Stormwind?

More seriously; try your tutorial agents and learn the basic game first before you worry about that. The best way to make ISK turns out to be the way you enjoy most. The fastest way? Buy and sell PLEX.
