2100 and the gates are closed in Jita?

How many people did the hardware support 6 months ago? I could have sworn it was 2100 people.

Its just CCPs subtle way of saying 'Psst, there are other trade hubs...you might want to try them' but of course most people dont get subtle hints like that.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Or people can just not go to Jita, and use Red Frog to move their stuff to a less busy trade hub.

I think CCP should just let Jita go into 10% TiDi so they can troll people posting in the forums who are going to whine their freighters take 5 minutes to align and another 5 to 10 minutes to reach a gate or station.

I don't know how TiDi affects market stuff, but it would be epic if the changing and creating of orders was affected by TiDi in full as well and marketeers have to wait 30 seconds between doing stuff with orders.

TiDi doesn't affect mark stuff.

Before the Retribution 1.1 patch I remember Jita being capped at around two thousand and three hundred players. When the 1.1 patch was released, (which included dueling), Jita performance went really low as more and more players logged on and it reached the 2300 point. At one point the TiDi indicator showed 21% system speed. It was like the matrix bullet time. To alleviate system lag, the player cap was balanced downward to 2000, and that provided no lag. Later on it was raised to 2170. Where it sits, (last time I checked), now. So now at around the maximum capacity Jita can hold one hundred and thirty players less than before the patch. That couple with, (I'm assuming), more recent subscriptions and re-activations have caused jump gates to Jita to be more congested than before. I think this would have happened anyway without the patch killing performance at 2300, but that just sped up the amount of people waiting at the gates to what it is now. I'm wondering if CCP can remove whatever it was that caused the lag or if it's irreversible, (Inefficiencies in the dueling and dueling requests code), or if they can beef their servers up even more. Cause there's no other trade hub in eve online quite like Jita.

Wouldn't it be quicker/easier to find the closest buy/sell orders in systems other then Jita and go there?

You young whippersnappers, complaining about 2100 in a system. Back in the day 400 in a system was certain lag.

Seriously though, I believe jita is on a seperate node all by itself. Unless CCP invests in beefier node hardware for key congested systems or improves it's code dramatically, there is little room for improvement at the moment.

Strange how a system can be reinforced by CCP to handle +5000 ships with drones, munitions explosions, EWAR effects, etc meanwhile Jita, on it's own reinforced node, is capped at a little over 2100.

What's up with that? Maybe it's intentionally designed to help instigate suicide ganking at the closed Jumpgates.


Anyway, like others have said, go to another market hub. Why travel 30 jumps when there's a Regional Market Hub located nearby?

if jita gate is jammed, set autopilot to 4-4 and it retries jumps every 5 seconds iirc

also, I'm an ass and i warp to the -real- undock... where everyone exits the station... not the default gankme points
