You know!? You know if you are bright enough then you do not need a tutorial at all.

You can crap in the woods and stop using toilets, too. There is plenty of options. Just so you know. Roll

What I don't even... I made a suggestion that you should put actual effort into the game and actively recruit new people into Null Sec alliances so they don't become hi-sec carebears (which I thought many people would support ) and you suggest we stop using toliets.

I am amazed at your logic.

I suppose it is too hard to actually put forth effort in the game to actually recruit new players then. To the forums to demand CCP action!

I mean if I were you I'd put forth some work and make a webpage, facebook page, and/or a youtube channel with buddy codes extoling the awesomeness of EVE's null sec to recruit people into the game directly into null sec alliances.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?

I still dont like newbie-only systems, though.

Unfortunately, the subtle nature just falls flat - because its Tom Gerard.

Even if I'm not smart enough to understand who or what is being trolled, I can rest assured it is being taken care of.

You have faith that you are being trolled.

This is high comedy.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

You know there is something wrong when Tom is saying something that actually needs to be fixed.

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

Yes, you do not even comprehend! So true. You want to make this about Facebook and webpages? Be honest, if you were in charge of the new player experience then everyone would get a cushion and a juice pack!

You have not got the slightest idea on how to make the entry into EVE fun. Everyone only talks about the steep learning curve and how players need to be protected, but there are players who do not have a problem with it. So have a little fun instead! Give them two ways into EVE. The "PVE entry" and the "PVP entry". The PVE entry is the one we already have, where you get to dilly-dally in 1.0 systems, poke a few weak rats or drill a bit of veldspar while staring at the market and ships you won't be flying for the next couple of years...

And then have a PVP entry where players can hit the ground running in noob ships and frigates from day 1. Let these players come out in 0.0. Have most skillbooks at an NPC station nearby and allow the sov holding alliances to assign one of their own corps as the beginner's corp. When you enter EVE will you find yourself in the middle of the action where you can put the fight and the friendship above the boring learning.

And if I were you then I'd stop the ranting.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

I hope I didn't come across as ranting. I was hoping to make the helpful suggestion that if you really wanted to recruit players into nullsec that there were ways to do so using many ways in-game and out of game. I never said I personally wanted to recruit players into anything, but rather this was a suggestion for your original post that appeared to have a desire to recruit new players directly to null.

The more I re-read your current post I can't tell for the life of me if you actually do or do not want to recruit new players into null.

Could you clarify this to me then? Do you want to recruit new players to null or not?

If you do then why not put forth the effort by doing the afore mentioned activities of going to newbie systems and put alts in NPC corps to recruit, and/or putting up real life tools like webpages/facebook to recruit new people directly into the game directly into null sec?

Again. I am sorry that I appear to be ranting. It was not my intention. I am not mad about the situation and I hope you aren't too.

Seeing as you will not answer the question, I will have to make assumptions reading the previous posts.

From what I am reading, it appears that you want CCP to implement a major change to the game in order to make it easier for you to recruit newbies into null sec without you actually going to hi-sec and NPC corps with alts to do recruiting which you could do right now if you had the will to do.

To reiterate my position, I am simply advocating emergent gameplay using the existing game mechanics, while I assume you are advocating spending CCP's limited resources to make it easier for you to do something without putting forth more personal effort?

In that regard, I am going to stop replying to your posts as I realized that despite our discussion, CCP will probaly not be swayed one way or another as they have a habbit of not implementing every single suggestion on the forums.

PS

Props to Mr. Cannibal Kane for bringing emergent gameplay to hi-sec.

This seems to be a false impression given by the "New Player Experience".

CCP is doing our new players a dis-service through the new tutorial, the fact they happen in normal "K-Space" provides a false sense of security. I strongly suggest CCP move the tutorial missions to a protected isolated area of EVE where learning can take place. Ending the tutorial with a "we are now going to toss you into the deep end" kind of statement so players are very well aware that they are no longer warm and safe in their pod goo.

We owe it to our new capsuleers to grant them a bit of honesty, even if we resent their very existence.

This could easily be fixed by creating some real useful tutorials....

1) Scamming and you....
2) That's not the corp your looking for...
3) It's a tarp....
4) Trust is a four letter word....
5) Ganking for laughs...

How to make money and actually having fun with it, by killing random people.

Just need to get all those moronic carebears out of the noobchats.
