also he brought ccp into it because ccp is the only one who can change what he is talking about... are you protecting your friend ccp here?

His post is personal honest and an outcry over something that is personaly heartfelt. He has the right tio be inconsiderate to the devs feelings because he is a paying customer and he deserves a total and honest opinion on the product he pays for and dedicates his life to.

I think your going to take some flak for that stance. The whole "he has the right to be inconsiderate" thing is just doomed. And honestly I don't think the OP really thought about it, I think he just had a clever idea as far as how to illustrate a perceived problem and typed it up and posted just to see what would happen.

Going to be an interesting thread to follow.

Lulz, CCP's "protector"

No, I feel that the OP's opinion is valid, but with more careful presentation his idea's may help to solidify and make more clear the direction that players would like to see in Eve.

As posted I think it will have the opposite effect, creating distance between devs and players where none needs to exist.

I dont care about the flak. a paying customer has the right to be unsatisfied nomatter what anyone thinks . I am also convinced that he thought about his comment alot and felt the way he expressed for a loooong time before considered mentioning it here because i feel exactly the same way about eve. and you dont simply come up with something expressed quite as intricatley as op did.

The Devs are professionals and also the forums and eve is infested with arrogant little basterd nerds that talk like they are going to kill u even though all they really want is a glass of milk.

CCP is a team of grown ups that are paid not to be offended by customers and as long as we keep them alive they wont be.

I also find op one of the most perfectly expressed and preciceley executed ways of describing eves lack of or lagging state innovation in a long time.

meaning you have nothing to fear of ccp "not liking" us because they are not a bunch of little girls.

ccp is a business not a bff.

I often wonder.

Do the rediculously stupid among us live in sheer bliss, or are they all bitter and unhappy.
Reading some of the things they'll write, it seems like they're a rather unhappy lot.

Is this correct? Are the unimaginably stupid really unhappy, or are they like the rest of us normal people and it's a case by case thing?

PS: To be clear, I''m pretty critical with the devs myself. However, I like to think that I am so with a proper level of respect and consideration for the job they do.

As an artist, criticism is something I'm very familliar with and understand that negative criticism is the best way to learn and grow.

I also know that there is a fine line between being a complete ******* and providing genuine criticism. OP crossed that line.

It doesnt' matter how proffesion or grown up you are.

There's a difference between providing genuine criticism and being an offensive douche bag. I've got decades worth of experience hearing "you suck".

I did not develop my art to the level it's at today based on "you suck" I did so based on proper criticism that helped me to identify where I needed improvement.

The idea that the customer is always right is a myth perpetuated by companies big enough to pay people to deal with angry, upset, whiny customers. When actual creators are constantly exposed to that sort of thing then they just get fed up and start producing far below their capacity, both in terms of creativity and volume. Be nice to people it makes the world a better place.

*except in Eve, there we can treat each other horribly.

CCP fix the blue blob, null sec super coalition, tech monopoly bulls**t or I'm gone. You've got till the end of this sub cycle (about 3 months).

Players need to band together and show CCP that pandering to the RMTers will cost them. Tired of Goons having the final say. We outnumber THEM and soon they're going to find that out.

That's all I'm going to say and that's all players need to start saying. fix the goddamned game, stop putting color lines in space that were 100% unnecessary and start fixing the damn game. If I don't see some progress in 3 months, you can kiss my ass and my money goodbye. Period. Sick and tired of begging and pleading with you people.

There is no blue donut. Sov changes happen everyday and the current situation is just barely stable. You are a 2 month player or something, how are you qualified to make judgements about null sec politics? Let alone demand that CCP "fix" them.

As for tech, the price of T2 goods is held in check by the drop rates for meta 3 and 4 gear. Its a good gig for Goons, but far from something that is out of control.

Many people love the nav lines and it was not a big job to implement.

Start making constructive, well thought out posts and people may start listening to you. To date you have made a complete and total ass of yourself; acting like you were someone high up in Test who "blew a whistle" then that post the other day full of left handed questions.

Just stop talking about how you wish things were and play the game for a while. You are probably never going to catch the leaders, if you cant handle that then go play another game.

I don't know. Negative opinions usually have personal bias that have no real bearing on the work in question.

As an example I put forth myself and my negative opinions.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?

As Cory pointed out, I wasn't speaking directly towards the OP, but in general.

Polite CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is good. Impolite, UNCONSTRUCTIVE criticism; which is what the OP is, is just someone being an *******.

Being an ******* doesn't improve anything, except hostility towards the *******. Ranting isn't criticism, and ranting tends to be geared more towards pissing someone off and being an ******* then it is to bring about positive change.

"EVE is boring and sucky"
It doesn't even matter what's in the body of the post. The title alone is an attempt to be a douchbag.

You could write the great american novel that centers around the life of Ghandi, but if you title that novel "Ghandi was a giant pussy" you're unlikely to sell to many copies.
