Except for reason (1), which is obviously just you being ~sour grapes~ those are all relatively uncontroversial feature upgrades and bugfixes that will probably be implemented over the next few months.

I suggest updating your livejournal with a 3000 word screed about how CCP opporession of you by making a game for a console you don't own is comparable to the suffering of children in African refugee camps.

Did it ever occur to some of you that it's very ikely going to be avialable over both systems, and it won't matter which one you're using to play it?

I have a Wii U, not that I use it, everyone else I know is still playing with their Wii. I'm sure I read at some point that Sony has every intention of supporting the PS3 for some time after the PS4 is released. There won't be nearly enough games initially that everyone is just going to stop playing the PS3.

I personally like the Wii U, can't stand the Wii, but there's **** for games available for the Wii U right now though. Coinsidentally, I have the last madden and FIFA for the Wii U, games that are also available for every other console.



It's going to be some time before the consoles are able to reach the graphics potential of the PC. It will likely be another console generation or two. The only reason you can get the graphics potential like you're going to see in a game like Star Wars 1313 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQyGu4EqZsU ) is because is because you can put **** like liquid cooled radiators on your computer, not really something you can do with a console; something designed to sit in your living room, not take up a lot of space, make a lot of noise, or raise the tempeture in your room by 10 degrees (the room with my PC is literally the hottest room in the house thanks to the heat this thing is blasting off, I can runn all my consoles at the same time and that won't happen.)

Heat disapation is a serious issue with consoles. Hell, apple had problems with iPods or iPhones getting to hot with one of the generations, and depending on what I'm doing with my iPod that thing can be unpleasant to sit in my lap.

The next generation of consoles aren't going to be pushed baed on improved graphics potential, you're not really going to see that big a jump in appearance over the current generation. Consider that the Wii had the lowest graphics potential of all the consoles, yet it was the best selling of them all.

That's not really a huge jump over what you see on the PS3 now. It's not going to be like when we went from the 2 to the 3. When they really start advertising and pushing the new consoles, it's not going to be the graphics they push, it's going to be a lot to do with social connectivity, new ways to play, and media.


The new GTA comes out in a couple of months, what's the point right? The PS4 will be here at christmas and no one will be
playing the PS3, right? wrong.
