Cap Batteries - Low Slot Module instead of Mid Sot Module

Ok so generally low slots are passive mods (exc tank stuff) and mids are active.

On that basis what if Cap Batteries were low slot modules, would make more sense and would maybe help increase their use. Amounts would still need a bit of a boost (currently you only ever fit oversized cap batteries, and the amounts would have to make them a better choice that a cap relay) but together I reckon those 2 changes would bring them into play much more.

Thoughts?

cap batteries are too hard on the fittings but should be a mid mod if they boosted its stats somewhat and actually gave it a more distinct and useful role:

cap boosters recharger
every used cap booster could be recharged in a certain amount of time say 20 seconds.

stores cap for a manual injection so say every 20 seconds gives you a small portion of cap you can inject as a reserve of cap in essence like a rechargeable battery.

'Tech3 ships need to be put down, like a rabid dog drooling everywhere in the house, they are out of line' CCP Ytterbium Nerf missile range into place where is the TD missile change?  ..projectiles should use capacitor. ABC's should be T2 HABC and nerf web strength its still too high

something like a cap booster running cap charges you mean? only it never runs out of charges...

well it wouldn't be very effective on its own more of a complimentary mod

Cap batteries might become useful if their PG requirement is reduced by 20-30% (maybe even 50%)

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

Or double or triple the amount of capacitor they give, then it might be worth fitting one of the right size rather than encouraging more oversizing to make stuff work

wow, cant describe how many armor fits would be ruined if i was required to move my cap abttery to my low slots.. like seriosuly.

biggest power consumer is armor-tanking amarrian ships, we are already in trouble that our DPS slots have to be shared with our Tank slots, requiring us to fill our almost mandatory in many cases cap battery in a low slot aswell would RUIN us.

if you feel so inclined, make a 2nd identical version of the cap abttery for low slots to compliment shield tanks (like they need it), but dont gimp the already precarious armor-fits with this.

Is there a reason to use a capacitor battery over a cap recharger for anything other than neut resistance?

Is there ever a reason to use a cap battery over a cap booster?

I mean one of them actually works, one just uses a slot and lots of grid.
