I tried VR headsets many years ago and they gave me cracking headaches, now the technology must of moved on some since then but as they say once bitten...

Didn't this whole technology die because people were upchucking all over the place from their inner ear not agreeing with the visual input? (i.e. motion sickness) Im sure this hurl-helmet-2000 has applications, but more so for Al Qaeda interrogations than game playing....

Get 3d glasses and trackir 6 and you already have this device. But I will by one as long as they put in a 6dof equivalent.

Well, actually, some CCP employees used their 20% to play with it ;)

The demo was built in Unity using EvE art assets.

The result was funky, might be good.

I would even ponder it since I had problems with my stomach even watching the demo.

But I'm odd, EVR might actually become a game.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I like the idea, but...

What would you use it for? For the overview, for brackets, or for the hanger?

For some of the avatar gameplay - maybe. But there is no such gameplay.

in 2007 i've thought it's a sci-fi simulator, not an "e-sports" game. I'm not a teenager, how would i like it much?
