For someone apparently aware he was going to be trolled by posting this, you sure do bite readily.

You are wrong on so many levels in this thread...and you sound more bitter that most bittervets. Not to mention your posting is TERRIBLE. If you used english instead of american gangster-isms you might sound less pants-on-head.

First off...why the hell are you concerning yourself with upper-level alliance/coalition politics?? Many of the people involved don't even want to be. Also, knowing as little as you do about this game, making posts effectively telling your leader how to run things is stupid as hell. You come across as a clueless, yet pompous, *******.

Ignorant whiners are far worse than informed ones. Be happy being a grunt while you are still learning this game (hint: years in you should still be learning).

Why should an alliance recruit you? If you aren't an asset, you are a liability. Prove yourself as an asset, BAM! You've won the 'popularity contest' (hint: it's not)

Women play eve, they just tend to keep it down on comms, due (mostly) to asshats saying things like "do women even play eve?"

Now on to solo pvp in bombers...really? It warps cloaked, has no decloak delay, and does pretty nice torp DPS, all in a package that is nimble and easy to GTFO in. If you can't figure out how to put that to good use, I reiterate that you have much to learn.

I truly don't believe you unsubbed from this thread, you put too much effort into that giant wall of text you call an OP.

Speaking of the OP, apart from the dripping bitterness, and horrible formatting, I was rather inclined to offer some advice or help after reading. Once I read more of the thread though, and saw your pathetic attempt to affect internal alliance/coalition matters, I decided you wouldn't be suitable for a recommendation.

Seriously, the problem here is not FOTM, or solo pvp, or CCP, or recruiting, or alliance politics. It's actually quite easy to figure out what the problem is, since there is only one common denominator through all your complaints, whining, and terrible posting.

YOU.

You are the problem.

To this day I do not have a tight grasp on WTH a cyno is. Jump bridge. WTH are these things? I Google, but all I really get are conversations ABOUT these things, nothing telling me exactly what they are really.

You could have just asked. A cyno is needed as a target for a jump capable ship to teleport to. A jump bridge is like a player owned stargate, although jump bridges tend to be password protected.

There are, but there are less of them than in other MMOs. I've known two in-game and one out of game who wasn't playing when I knew her, but had in the past.

OP got something right, they are indeed a noob, not a newbie.

Difference between noob and newbie

A "noob" is an arrogant, opinionated, hypocritical and extremely annoying person.
A "newbie" is a person that is new to the game who is the opposite of a noob.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Then, since the invasion, you should fit in just fine in the Russian Corps.

LOL. If M.com is FOX, then EN24 is, at best, US Weekly.

If mittens.com is FOX, then EN24 is WorldNetDaily.

Or maybe better, if mittens.com were apples, then EN24 is a steaming pile of ****.

first off, rants aren't allowed on the forums, so be careful with that or they may ban you.

second, and lastly, remember that training yourself about eve is more important that training your character. Put in the time, and realize that joining a large alliance means you're just another cog in the wheel.

Reporting in.
What have you got against Test? Seems like a really nice alliance to me.

No, it's not just "who you know", in fact in my experience that's hardly an issue at all.
You can get into tons of alliances/corps with just basic skills as a tackler.

Yes, the drake may have got nerfed, but the cyclone got made a missile boat and the raven/phoon will probobly be receiving a buff soon.

I told a recruiter of another corp today that I had some interest in trying to join Nulli Secunda and the guy told me that he had heard they were a mainly Russian alliance. I'm a country bumpkin from Georgia. There's no way for me fit into a Russian alliance and I do not want to waste my time applying to corps only to find this out.

Nulli is not Russian.

- Just be honest. It's all about who you know, right? Getting into Alliances is really just a popularity contest it seems. FOlks will post all of these requirements but let in day old toons because they know a guy who knows a guy who farted in the CEOs older sister's face in High school at a drunk party, he thought it was funny, so yeah, let him. in. That's cool but just say it vets. Stop telling us noobs that if we work real hard and skill up, we can be the bestest of the bestest! No. You have to either kiss the right butts, make your own, join some stupid ass forum like Reddit/SA or be funny on TS ( which I can do) in order to get into the big boy corps. Nothing wrong with that. Really. The ability to network in very imperative to progression. I just want you to admit it and stop making it seem like SP is really all that matters.

Wha?

- Do ANY women play EVE? Seriously. Or are you guys paying your older sisters to jump on mic so you can get free ****?

Several do, heck TEST has a woman FC. But FFS don't e-stalk them, you aren't going to hook up over a game of internet spaceships.

- Is CCP like Blizzard in that they purposefully maintain imbalance in order to create a grind? In WoW Blizzard will purposefully make one class OP simply to push people to re-roll and regrind thus keep paying. Smart, but is currently biting them in the ass. I ask this because a few weeks ago, vets were harping at noobs like me about how great Drakes were. I recently just had a recruiter tell me, when I asked about his corps doctrine, that Drakes are pretty much useless. Wha-wha-what-da-F**K??? Soooo...I spent this time training this for....? (this kind of ties into my first point/question). Can he vets just tell it like it is, if it is this way. That we as noobs need to just keep our ear to the beat and train for the FOTM ships instead of training for what we want to fly. "Yeah man, train what you ENJOY flying" yet what I ENJOY flying isn't desired by any decent corps and therefore I'm relegated to playing by myself. I do not play an MMO to play solo.

Unless your passion is something dumb like mining recon ships, there is a role for most ships in nearly any alliance. It is just a matter of the right fleet comp. Also, the skills trained into ships transfer well into others. You can't decide what to train if you're training for specific PvP roles before joining an alliance TBH - each has its own preferences for weapon types, ships, etc.

Trust me, Mittani.com is more like Reuters or Al Jazeera, and EN24 is FOX. While you might expect Mittani.com to be extremely biased, many of the writers for that site are hostile to the GSF and there is a lot of variety when it comes to the perspectives expressed. EN24 is rather tightly focused on a single ideology, it is the FOX of EVE.
