API maintenance downtime on February 22, 2013

As you may have seen from our messaging the API went down for few hours today. We encountered a similar problem with our temporary fix that we made to get the API up and running again yesterday. We have since then fixed the initial problem that was plaguing the caching cluster.

There is a knows bug in the client library that if the caching cluster breaks the clients do not know how to talk to the working caching servers and disregard the broken one. There is a new client library out that we have already implemented and is currently in testing. We estimate of deploying this new client library our early next week. This should prevent the API from going down if problems come up with the caching cluster.

evemon and eft are both still down for me. its been like that for the past 3 days. is it just me or any one else still having same problem?
