Salvage drones unable to salvage commander wrecks.

Any1 else having the same problem? Is it a bug?

It's not a bug. Salvage drones aren't "powerful" (don't have a high enough base salvage chance) enough to do this.

It depends on what the penalty is for salvaging a commander wreck is.

The base salvage chance for a Salvage Drone is 3%, plus 2% for every level of the skill trained. So the maximum possible salvage chance is 13%.

A T2 wreck has a -10% salvage chance penalty, so one has to train Salvage Drone Operation to IV to have a 1% chance to salvage those, and a 3% chance at V. If the penalty for salvaging a commander wreck is greater than -10%, then Malcanis is correct.
