t2 is actually often the cheap and bad option (bad as t2 modules have worse overheating behavior than t1 modules).

t2 warp scrambler: 1.58m ISK
meta 4 warp scrambler: 2.35m ISK

t2 stasis webifier: 1.31m ISK
meta4 stasis webifier: 1.87m ISK

These are current Jita prices - in secondary/tertiary hubs like Rens or Hek the meta4 modules often cost around ~3m ISK.

Here are some of my semi-recent frigate losses:

Crucifier - 9.4m ISK
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=15494460

Griffin - 9.8m ISK
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=15487272

Rifter - 14.1m ISK
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=15458061

Slasher - 15.2m ISK
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=15763355

I know that I tend to carry too much ammo (but it's really hard to say how long your ship is going to survive in FW and I'm rather safe than sorry) but none of these fittings can be called extravagant imho.

I'd calculate with a 10-15m ISK per ship budget, less than 10m ISK seems to be pretty low to me.

Yeah - that's why Meta 3 is the go. Cheaper and still effective.

In general, if you're looking to save a bit of isk (for whatever reason, be it limitations on your budget or you just freaking want to), you'll probably want to look into meta/T1 propulsion and EWAR, though not weapons and tank. Also, don't forget to rig your ships. It does make a great deal of difference.

If you go with long range weapons and kiting fit, you can go with Meta stuff all the way. Some of my best fights were in a T1 fitted Atron. It cost 1 mil fully fitted.

well, if you cut a bit on rigs (using resistances vs shield extenders) and drop occassional meta 3 or meta 4 instead of t2, you can cut costs quite a bit, but you should at least aim for t2 guns/launchers (most important part imo), extenders / resistance mods and perhaps web; you don't really need t2 scram/disruptor unless you plan on kiting and meta 3 / 4 mods are easier to fit anyway

Not flying Rifters will save you a lot of isk.

Thank you everyone for your time.

I had a lot of success yesterday getting caught and utterly destroyed by a a strategic cruiser while trying to find someone who was probably in a safe spot..

yknow what? I usually am sad when I lose a ship, but this time I had the time of my life, never was that scared XD

Bought myself 10 rifters (6M a piece).
T2 for guns, T1 rigs, faction ammo... meta 3 for the remaining.

I proudly died while engaging a stabber fleet issue in front of a bunch of starving sentries.

First lesson : Agression in low sec makees you a suspect, not a criminal : true.
Sentries do not engage suspects : yeah, but they still shoot you on sight if witnessing an agression.

quick death but... yeah i did it, lesson learnt. Lot of fun and adrenalines.

Had a pleasant chat with the stabber after that.

Keep up the good work.

I didnt read all the replys because im lazy .

If you want too pvp in a strict budget , you can spend 1-2m on a frig and 3-4m on a dessie and still be extremely effective ( assuming you pick the right targets)

Pick a fitting you really like ,Meta down the modules too 4/3. And setup buyorders for those mods in your local trade hub , Everytime you die , modify your bo's . PVP on the cheap.

My AC trasher costs 3m with rf ammo , arty trasher 2.8m with ammo :)

I have no choice but to think about the isk

I can't afford this project right now because I was stupid and screwed myself up.

now I don't have my buzzard, basilisk, drake and raven to get the isk I need to at least BUY the damn things, and am stuck grinding low bounties in a caracal to afford fun. I'm just about to sell a plex just to skip the whole boring level 2 grinding bullcrap I have to go through.

Good Castrisles;

100 bucks gets you billions of ISK. The game is dull enough as it is.

If not join FW and put together a T1 2wcs rifter--cost about 1 mil. You can solo a small plex. All you have to do is wait 15 minutes and you will clear 10 million on average.
