Standings effect on Broker Fees and Sales Tax

Could somebody describe how your standings (both Faction and Corporation) standings affect your Broker Fees and Sales Tax?

I'm trying to work out whether it is worth the effort of grinding those standings on my trading alt.

You need to locate a search button. This question been answered multiple times during this month.

There is more to it than standings.

For example. The last time I flew my pod into the station cafeteria ( I was hungry ) I got my taxes raised. they claimed that I left many large dents in the corridors on my way there. But I'm pretty sure that the dents were already there

You didn't have to specify where the search button is. Jaden Li found it, and it didn't work.

Clearly, Jaden Li took the appropriate and expected step, to try to find an answer, and that step did not yield any results, so there was nothing wrong with her making this thread.

The expected first step may be to use the locally-provided search feature, but a more sensible second step would be a Google/off-brand web search, rather than a new forum thread.

In any event, we ended up with two areas of learning in one thread, which is probably above average:

(1)(a) Answer as above re the effect of Standings on Market Order Broker Fees;
(1)(b) Answer not provided above: Standings do not affect Sales Tax; and

(2) The purported "search forums" feature is a waste of time, if what you want are meaningful search results. I find that often just adding the search term "eve" is enough to coax game-related answers out of Google, which is pretty simple.

Quite often I have to go to such extraordinary lengths as to add "EVE Online" to the search string to get game-related answers from Google.
