Many people told me to get lvl3 missions, but the Agent must come available first, and I do not think I can run them with a Caracal?

Meredith

The agent may already be available, just in another station.
Learning to use your agent finder would be useful.

Too bad the game can't calculate an income tax. In the meantime, charging a monthly corp membership fee might be a fairer system than setting a corp mission tax. Or ask for voluntary donations, and keep track of who is donating the most ISK to the group, and who is sucking out corp resources without contributing to the group.

I think there would problems with placing corp taxes on market transactions.

For one thing, every time you, as a mission runner, sold your mission loot on the market, you would need to pay a sales tax to your corporation, in addition to the corp taxes you already pay for mission bounties.

If a new kind of corp tax were restricted to only ore and mineral sales, that corp tax would be more clearly directed at miners (though mission runners also sometimes sell minerals from reprocessed loot). Many corporations already compensate for the lack of a mining tax by requiring members to participate in mining ops, or to donate a monthly quota of ore, or to sell ore to the corporation at a discount.

Traders do avoid the corp tax, but many traders make their ISK by churning through a very high volume of trades, with a small profit margin on each individual sale. (You make a penny here and a penny there, and it all adds up to a mountain of ISK in the end.) If you add a corp sales tax to the npc stations' sales tax and brokers fees, you can eliminate a trader's profit margin on all the individual sales.

I'll add one piece of advice on mission running. If you can run missions together with one of your corpmates, that often allows you to run higher level missions at a higher rate of speed, and make more ISK for both players than you would earn running missions solo. Even a lower level player tagging along to salvage the wrecks for you while you shoot the NPC's can speed things up dramatically.

Basic things like Agent Finder I know about, as well on how to use it.
Thank you.
Miners having to refine and sell, I know as well, we have a few good miners in the Corp.
Trading, I am not known in or about.

For me, I can only focus on cambat type skills, these skills by itself already consume every second I have.
And I simply do not have the time for mining/trading.
It happens quite a bit I have to break off a mission already, not helping my standing.
Hence the (still) level 2 missions.

As for 0.0 sec, I do not know who is in these zones, but I am told over and over again, not to go past 0.6 zones?
By MANY a people.

If anyone like a 'noob' joining in such an adventure... I would be game.
I'll pick my hubbies account for that, he has a nifty Drake since yesterday (a GIFT go figure, someone in there likes him *jealous* lol).
No, he's actually an awesome guy, really.
I can tell, been married to him 20 years.
Perhaps someone likes him around... he's got a tad more time than I do, being disabled.

Hmm. If level 2 missions are giving you trouble you might need to change your ship fitting a bit. What ship/modules/ammo are you using atm?

Do not listen to those IDIOTS.

Though, if you want to be as safe as you can possibly be in EVE, yes staying 0.6 or above helps.

If you want to maximize your income, then GTFO out of high-sec and start null-sec ratting as soon as you can fly a proper BC.

Doesn't look like a bought character (at least not legally - no forum post about it).
And a 5 year old history doesn't mean that the person played that entire 5 years.

I did 5 years (with a 2 year break) to get where I am.
The constant changes aren't making it easier: yesterday my hubbie noticed they nerfed his nifty new Drake: tore of a missile bay.
He was not quite happy, I noticed, about that.
Rampaging on what idiots they are at CCP considering the Caldary have the worst offense system (the anti-missile systems (not a clue what that is) seem to take like 80'ish % of his missiles out, where other non-missile using races do not have such problems).
Afore he had 2 other ships with slots suddenly awol (as he told me of a Kestrel I think, suddenly with a shield point less, preventing him to launch).
Yes, hubby is not too happy with how Eve is working in that regard.

But no, these are actually ours.
Sadly, we hardly have time to play, as told afore.
Although, 'sadly'....
We spent a LOT of time with the kids, and our very young son demands quite a heap of attention.

Let's see: my outfit on my Caracal:
5x XR3200 Heavy Missile Launchers
2x Large Shield Extenders T2
2x Adaptive Invulnerability Fields T1 (not enough power for better)
1x Shield Recharger T2
4x Beta Reactor Control Diagnostics System
1x Medium Rocket Fuel Cache Partition
1x Medium Warhead Calefaction Catalyst

That'd be my shippie... still...

I check Agent Finder a LOT, trust me, still no lvl3 available.
Now, I must say... I somewhere made an error and did quite a few missions for the wrong species *blushes*
So Caldari did not like me for a wee while.

As for Security Connections, that's a brilliant idea, thank you kindly, Sir (it's Sir, right?)

Oh, you know how the Drake got a minor nerf (*) ... the Caracal got buffed at the same time.

Assuming you're mission running, have a think about how often you're shooting at battlecruisers and how often you're shooting at smaller things. If you're shooting a lot at smaller things, think about whether you want to shift to using Heavy Assault Missiles, which should also free up some power and cap so you can switch out a Beta Reactor Control or two for a Ballistic Control System.

Basically, missiles have an Explosion Radius that means big missiles are for big things, and small missiles are for small things. Target painters help, but Caldari tend to use the midslots for tank ...

A better pilot of Caldari ships than me can advise whether you'd be better off switching the rigs out, or moving from a passive tank based around LSEs to an active one based around more resistances and a shield repair unit in the mids ... but what I would say is you might think about swapping the two Adaptives for two shield hardeners specialised against the rats you're fighting, and also whether you can afford to cram a damage control somewhere in the lows to get some more shield resists on top of that.

(*) Yes, they lost a missile slot. But their missiles hit harder. Well used, the Drake is still a perfectly adequate ship.

What I'd recommend is leaving the Drake at home and taking a pair of small, fast frigates.

But before you do that, google 'eve maps dotlan' and get a flat, 2D map of where you are going. And then play with the third-party Dotlan maps until you can see 'ship/pod kills per 24 hours'. And then you've got a decent chance of spotting where the gate camps are.

Also, practice flying to planets and using your directional scanner to see who is waiting at gates. And also quickly flying from a gate to a planet, from which you can scan the next gate.

Most of this is unneccessary in losec.

Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts that are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated. Corporation, faction and alliance members and other players are cautioned to avoid allowing “in character” disputes from becoming "out of character" personal attacks. The game is designed for role-playing and/or portraying a role and it is sometimes easy for tempers to flare when the lines between the virtual world and the real world are crossed. Please keep in-game disputes in the game and off the forum unless it is clearly a mutual, in-character exchange.

7. Trolling is prohibited.
Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the players. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not contribute to the sense of community we want for our forums.

16. "Newbie" bashing will not be tolerated, particularly in the Newcomer's Forum.
New forum members are encouraged to use, but not restricted to, the Newcomer's Forum. The Newcomer's Forum is specifically designed to provide a platform for those who are new to the Eve community to ask questions and learn more about the game. Regular forum users are encouraged to be helpful and courteous in their responses. All flames will be automatically deleted and the poster may be warned or permanently barred from future forum use. The answers to many new players' questions may be found in the Eve Knowledge Base and we encourage our players to seek information there before posing questions on the boards.

20. Post constructively.
Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil, factual manner. Tell us what you don't like and why and how you feel it could be improved. Posts that are not constructive, insulting or rude may be deleted, no matter how valid the ideas behind them may be.

Cleaned up the thread according to the above rules. I am also moving it to New Citizens Q&A, as that subforum tends to be friendlier to newbies than General Discussion.

OP: since this thread is apparently all about answering your concerns/questions, if you feel that your suggestions still need to be considered, you should post them in the Features & Ideas subforum.

Also, to answer your "classes" question: there are no "classes" in EVE Online. You can do anything you want, perform any task you want, at any time you want. You are only limited by how many skill points you have, and in which skills they are allocated. There are many players who have invested skillpoints in multiple various roles, so they can PvP, explore, mine, or whatever else they want, any time they want. When you say "warrior class", you likely mean that most of your skills are specialized in combat -- tanking and damage skills -- which is fine; you are not however bound in this role. You can train up and trade or mine if you wish.

Good luck!

Not to tell you how to do your job or anything, but if you're concerned about posts being constructive and in the right place, you probably should have moved this to features and ideas, new player forum isn't really appropriate. And if you're trying to prevent trolling you should just lock it so it falls off the first page, because it's painfully obvious that's what OP is doing, and all you're doing by moving it to New Citizens is feeding it by giving it an audience conditioned to answer even obviously frivoulous and fake posts seriously.

There you go, there's your civil and constructive negative feedback.

Just gonna point out that 5 years with a 2 year break gives this player 3 years experience. That... flavor... you're seeing is not "new player".

OP: CCP keeps changing the game just to troll on warriors like you. Fight da system, girl!

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

@ Andress: thank you.
Hubby got a bit off, seeing the slot gone, he's OK now though. :)

I run a Caracal as said, but I think that active tanking will drain my reactor rather fast. I am studying those skills now.
Hopefully I can run the active tank shields soon without too much drain.
The Damage Control Unit, doesn't it nerf the shield systems (penalty)?

And I have no Drake, that'd be Hubby... :)

Thank you for response.

@ Tul: I am still somewhat a new p[layer, considering I have not had the time to play a lot, time-wise.
So, IMHO, I think I am in the right spot after all?

@ T'Poll: before you say something, please read the post.
Hubby got mad, not me!
Additionally, I am asking for info, for player help in matters of gameplay and setting up ship.
Thank you for the reaction though.

And please do not lock this thread, since I have a lot of great info here, from folks trying to help me, rather than bash me.
No pun intended.
