Yes I know, I've shot myself in the foot by relocating and facing Guristas.

I have fairly capable skills for flying the Abaddon, able to fit full T2. But my problem is, I can't get my tank to hold. Maybe it's me being stupid but meh, Im used to shield tanking, this armor tanking is pure greek to me :P

So any help and tips are welcome.

edit: Silly me, forgot to say its for Level 4 missions

2x Kinetic Hardeners II
1x Thermal Hardener II
1x Imperial Navy Large Armor Rep

That should do it… You'll probably have to fit a Large Cap Booster though.

And don't forget Guristas fire a lot of torpedoes, you can avoid some damage by keeping you speed up.

They aren't really "true" torpedoes, though. They're more like the old-style torpedoes before the range nerf. NPCs don't read patch notes, apparently.

The Abaddon has some capacitor issues due to no cap bonused guns like e.g. the Apocalypse. Using alot of cap rechargers, cpr and cap rigs means that you lose alot of other useful stuff like tracking computers, heat sinks and nano pumps that makes your life easier.

Alot of people dislike cap boosters because it's extra work, but they are really awesome to have.

Ideally, you'd get your guns stable and only run your tank when you're getting shot at. This'll reduce your capacitor booster consumption quite significantly.

The Abaddon has enough powergrid to comfortably fit 8 mega pulse lasers, even with a couple elutriation discharge rigs. Give it a shot in EFT and see if you like the configuration.
