I am making my arguably obvious prediction right now in this thread.

The PS4 (PlayStation 4) will be a train wreck of who cares and gimmicks... Sony will continue to lose money and their gaming division will continue to be just this side of bankrupt being kept alive on life support in the form of funding from the other divisions of Sony.

I don't think I've seen a weaker potential launch lineup since Wii U. Only gem was Watch Dogs.

More annoyed we never actually got to see the console hardware, and the very vague specs of the machine ...x86 CPU, PC GPU, HDD and 8gb memory!

Calling it now, Nintendo and Sony will merge within the next 2 years as their market shrinks (for hardware).

Did anyone see an image of the actual console? I feel the specs sound a bit... low. Pretty sure my PC matches or exceeds those specs.

Watchdogs looks like so much fun. It is like a playable version of Person of Interest.

Console specs are always that thing that doesn't matter. The devs have the same target for the whole audience and as a result a better experience is usually had on the whole. As well as graphics being fairly good and fresh for the life of the console as a result. I love the idea of remote play that is really cool. Im not much for sharing so meh for me but I see it being a very heavily used item. Voyeur cam is pretty cool as well as remote control of your buddies game. It should be a really interesting next few months as more and more developers get dev kits and more devs unveil their projects. I also like the fact they said a big whatever to supporting last gen games and are instead doing what appears to be live streaming much like OnLive.

Poking around on /v/, Kotaku and the Diablo 3 forums.

And I thought the Mom nerf was butthurt.... damn, everyone seems to be of the opinion that people paid to beta test Diablo 3 on the PC for Consoles. The control system makes sense when you look at it from a 4 button controller...

I don't think this is the final line up of games.
Considering they didn't mention exactly what the hardware is, didn't talk about pricing, or even shown the PS4 itself, I think we have things to look forward to for E3.

No backwards compatability.

That means Dust 514 is either being ported to work on a PS4, or (more likely imho) it's going to be on PC at the PS4 release.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Sony stopped production of the PS2 just a few weeks ago.

Saw this coming. I believe my exact words were "But won't Dust be out at about the same time as everyone is trading in their PS3 at Gamestop for a PS4? WTF?". Get ready for Dust to die in November.

Nintendo 64. Most consoles have more games worth playing in their launch lineup than it had ever.

If all of this means Dust will be on PC and the console version dead, I will gladly buy a copy and try Dust on my damn pc.

I don't know why most of you don't think DUST won't be a launch title for the PS4. There is zero reason it can't be. It is a client much like the EVE client. They will have the current release for PS3 with its graphics settings. Then a new client with higher graphics details for the PS4. From what I understand they chose the graphics engine they did because it was going to PS4 compatible as well.

wellll whatever ends up happening, ps3s will still work and PSN will still be around. maybe it just means DUST will be less expensive to play in terms of hardware investment.

I wonder if it's a disc issue, and Dust will be saved because it is download-only (?)

I'm not upset about the backwards compatibility if it's true. I still have playstation 1 games that I play. and love. and I have three or four releases from several franchises to catch up on.
