Was there an AI change this patch?

I normally rat in two Dominixs. Sentry fit, lazy ratting. Pre-patch, I would warp in and the AI would swap back and forth between ships. Beat on one, swap, beat on the other, for varying lengths of time. Either Dominix is more than capable of dealing with it.

Post patch, I noticed that the AI is picking one of mine Dominix's and focus firing it. Again, no biggie, the ship can tank it. Oddly enough, its the opposite ship the AI used to focus on for the longest. So I did some experiments.

First, I warped Ship A (Dominix that the AI ignores) into the anom first. Proceed as normal and then warp in Ship B (The ship AI likes to focus on now.) The AI will instantly swap to Ship B. And these are basically identically fit Dominix's with Ship B having a less SP, less drone focused pilot.

Second, I warped Ship B in and proceeded as normal, then warped in Ship A. AI ignores Ship A and proceeds to continue to beat on Ship B. Ok, wierd. For whatever reason, the AI just does not like Ship B.

Can anyone explain the mechanic by which the AI chooses a target? Ship A is doing about 700dps and Ship B is doing about 430dps. So why would the AI choose Ship B?

Ship A does have about 6000 more EHP (rigs) so yeah. Hmm. Good point to start from.

I have been able to find no reliable way to predict the the AI aggression. Maybe that was the point all along.

What I have noticed. . . This was all pre 1.1
I fly in remote rep fleets, some ships remote rep, some ships use weapons, some ships use drones.

1) For the most part, cruiser size ships and bigger are very good a focus firing. I would say that 3/4 (or more) of the NPC ships tend to target the same ship.

2) They switch targets between all ships. It doesn't matter if a ship is using ewar or remote reps or weapons, they will suddenly get very mad at it for no reason. I have ships running remote reps, I have ships shooting, and at somepoint in the middle of battle they decided to transfer attack to the uber-tanked domi that's just sitting there doing nothing. Seriously WTF??

3) They love to shoot at nocti. I guess the noctis is the cat nip of NPC, bring in a noctis (even with two large shield extenders), try and salvage 1 wreck and almost every NPC will target the noctis. Maybe it is the EHP (but you would think that with 2 LSE if might be greater than a weakly thanked cruiser). Maybe they just don't like having their dead friends boats' salvaged.

4) Towers never change target unless you leave targeting range

If anyone else knows about public posting on AI aggression I would love to read it.
