Honestly? I wish CCP would stop nerfing ships. Only buff those that need buffing to balance out.

Two powergrid nerfs and now a high slot is gone? WTH????

I am now wearing a black armband in memory of a ship that was once the ship that the Dread Pirate Roberts would have sailed...

It's been INCONCEIVABLE!!!

There are 2 diffrent types of crybabies - one type is right and the others are wrong. Both cry. And i'm afraid not only you cry but also belong to 2nd group.
I was hoping for more sever nerfs. But i guess thats better than nothing.

As the NerfHammer is making its way up through Frigs to Cruiser then Battlecruisers you can elicit some comfort in knowing that though your beloved ship in not capable of carrying two nuets the target rich environment of Frigs and Cruisers are essentially easier to kill as they have also lost PG, Turrets, ....

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.

This is a legit complaint. I had to almost max out all powergrid skills and AWU to 4 before I can even do a few decent fits. I was usually off by a ridiculous small amounts to like 15 to 20 pg. This isn't even using neuts. The removal of a high slot was just an insult.

Just 50 - 75 more powergrid would be fine so I can at least do tech 2 guns. I still can't do neuts and limited by one less high slot so it balances out.

If we kept buffing everything, there would be no fun or challenge in pve. NPCs would need some sort of AI buff.....oh wait!

I can fly everything in the BC category and I sold my only Hurricane yesterday. I really don't care as I'm pushing 109m SP and am proficient in just about every weapon system. But they did nerf the cane's PG too much. There is no reason to fly it with so many better choices available. My Harb can fit the largest tier guns and a 1600mm plate. It sends more DPS farther with more EHP AND it now has a larger drone bay.

The problem with "so many better choices available" is that many players are skilled in certain areas. Flying a medium blaster ship might not be a viable alternative.

I'm neither arguing for nor against any particular nerf, however, it is important to take the entire situation into consideration for ALL pilots, not just what you are able to fly.

You can fly everything in the BC category, but not everyone can. What it amounts to, is removing the ONLY option some people had.

I get more DPS from my Cyclone than my hurricanes now. I'm not complaining though, except perhaps the expense of refitting the Cyclone.

Protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. Amen.

It is true, they should change the name from "Hurricane" to "Mildly irritating Tropical Storm that probably won't even make landfall anyway"!

Minmatar crybaby tears are so delicious...

The hurricane went from "hands down above average at EVERYTHING" to "pretty good", in line with the other battlecruisers.

Being able to easily fit the largest guns AND two neuts on a shield OR armor tanked ship was a little game breaking.

And don't throw the stat about "Hurr durr the drake is the most used ship."

That's due to fleet doctrine, not performance. Drake has a stout tank, so you don't instantly die when you're primaried. It makes sense that big null fleets would want to use it.

If I'm in a small gang, I'd fly the old cane over ANY other BC.

Now, at least, I have options.

I agree that it needed a nerf but to the point where you can't do a decent armor fit? 400 pg was taken off the pg. That's about 50 or 75 too much to be taken away.

I don't know, I'm looking at 690 something DPS (hail) with a tank of 56K though a bit slow at 1041 m/s on a 220AC fit w/ armor tank. I'd agree that the Harbi is probably a better choice, but if you want the damage selection of ACs, it still seems pretty good to me. Nerfed yeah, but still quite dangerous.
