Issues, Workarounds & Localization

I made this post here so long time players and new the like can talk about the recent patch, the changes and the obvious problems that have arose from this recent patch 1.1 and hopefully come to an understanding about the problems and or workarounds.
I see there is a a lot of players new and old that are furious about some of the changes and so am I . People and even myself are noticing the subtle changes and the ( WoW ) style play that has been released to the game including the new limited engagement ship to ship fights, where you have players in tech 2 ships challenging other players in badgers and when turned down calling them P***ys etc. I am not saying it is bad as it is nice to be able to challenge someone to a little dogfight!

But that bad atmosphere is not what EvE is about or has ever been about to a certain point, ( meaning there is a time and place to bad mouth people and what not ) But i am afraid that this limited ship may bring and or make people have different attitudes ( actually negative ) towards other pilots new and old, and CCP you need to stop catering to this "New" style play.

What i mean to say is there is a new feeling about EvE that everyone feels, most don't say anything and some get enraged like myself. Me along with others who have been around for years and dumped countless $$ into CCP and plex etc because I/We enjoy playing the game of course, the recent changes in 1.1 to Battle cruisers and other things if you read the patch notes have made a long time core group of players mad. I am not going to give ( factoids) for people to argue with me about how I must be or am wrong, look at the game read the notes...

If you like the changes, then this is the wrong thread for you to be at, as there is no reason for you to be here because the game works for you. But i have heard and talked to a bunch of players and these changes are just a step in the simplify the game till there is nothing hard left to do in the game. Is not the reason we play MMO's for a long lasting and time consuming thought inducing process? I really can not think of other reasons to play a game for so long if you do not want to spend hours learning, experimenting, adjusting, and down right having fun.... What the entire point is, we are being forced into certain types of ships with certain types of ( cookie cutter builds ) when you go into battle knowing that the person you are about to fight will have same exact build, that would and will get boring as you will learn and know exactly what the other player will have every time.

( this summer if anything like this will be horrible for a battleship revamp or whatever ship they decide to change or simplify etc... )

For example, people argue with me about the Ferox > saying that it is pointless to have launchers on it because there is no bonus for them. Well that is like saying there is no point to have strip miners on the Orca because the Covetor has a higher % yield for them minus the cargo and capitol features, so CCP is stripping things from ships because it has no bonus?
I can go on and on. But why is it up to me to inform you and due process for you about patch notes and in game, when you can do your own due process see and read yourself and decide if it is good or not for you?

It is not up to me or anyone else to tell you what you think or that you should like this or that...


After all is EvE not for the players?

I am not unreasonable but CCP needs to not be unreasonable also. So voice your opinions, and let them know that eve players will not let WoW style gaming come to New Eden, and if enough players think so a sub cancel/petition in the future? ( Not that i want or condone that ) But sometimes that is how you have to be heard. you may like what i say you may not, either is totally fine.


I also want to point out that not all the patch was bad there was some good things so don't read this assuming that i am only one sided on my argument, I have and always will look at it objectively but as of now i don't see it all as good.

I think this is more down to the fact of immature players, not the game content.
