Everyhting else should support FIS and if it grows great but is should not take away from FIS.

Lets just take a look at this...

People on the forums consider CCP using resources for anything but FiS "taking away" from FiS. Therefore it is not possible to do what you are asking according to the standard set forth by the "community".

In reality what went down is something like CCP was making money, they decided to diversify, took out a loan, and started to develop other things. People complain that all 600 employees aren't working on FiS, but literally hundreds of them were never even hired for it.

If you were to put Incarna to one side for arguments sake and look at what other resources CCP had devoted to Eve you would find something like the following:

Eve Development:
Game Design/Ship Balance - CCP Tallest (1 person)
Team BFF (optimisation, the war on lag, etc.) - 5 people?

Eve Development (Artwork)
New Turrets / New Ship Rendering - 5 people?
Nebulae - 5 people?

You then have other stuff like Carbon which is really architecture and software frameworks which are being invested in to use in all their games products. No idea how many are working on this, clearly will be some benefit to Eve but primary aim is for software reuse with other projects.

So with the above, you have 6 people working on core Eve development and about 10 artists working on making broken **** look pretty. That's 16 people, and even then I am not 100% sure 10 artitsts is actually the case. No-one is asking or demanding that CCP divert 100% of their resources to Eve. 50% would be fantastic, 10% would be amazing. At the moment it is more like 2%.

It is no wonder that ridiculously simple balancing changes which would take 1 developer 2 days to implement are put into a work stack 5 years deep.

Regretablly, even if CCP were to realise at this exact moment their folly, it would take 1.5 to 2 years to actually deliver anything of substance to do anything about it that wasn't purely lip service.

Oh yess CCP can diversify and it is wise to do so. But they should not take away or fail to maintain development on eve. The perception is that FIS is suffering to support these other efforts. Between vampires, dust, and incarna development of FIS has been reduced to a fraction of what it should be to maintain EvE's required pace of development.

For example CCP's art team is noted as a bottle neck for Effects, trails, pos revamp, better icons, new ships, and many other facets of eve. We got a break down of what the Art teams allocations are and only a tiny fraction of that team is working on EvE at all and most of them are working on incarna. So we get little to no development on the EvE portion. This is revealed in the last CSM meetings and other official publications. There is also the older break down of what teams are owrking on pre-incarna and actualy space stuff had very few resources allocated to it. There is no indication that this has changed other than team BFF. And BFF has been amazing for so few people.

EvE needs these resources to grow or it will stagnate and die.
the dev's working on EvE are great but they need more of them to actually do the work required and the big wigs keep prioritizing non FIS items despite the fact that most of use play EvE for space ships...

"we NOW have something to crystalize people that theres something wrong with EVE"

....yet nothing up till now has been this lol

It IS funny, Mittens "doesnt speak for the CSM" but none of the other CSM are talking
MORE funny is the title of the window. "Funky talks to Mittens"
NOT "Funky talks to the CSM"

It IS funny to hear him preening lol

I don't understand why goons are unhappy? Is Russia about to overpower them? Are they about to lose Tech? Why would they threaten to burn down CCP? Maybe supercaps? Not being Nerfed in time. Are there not enough resources available to Nerf their competition in time to avoid a retreat to empire? What could be so serious?

oh god I agree with Mittens

"Lifetime subs is a horrible idea"

Is it funny to anyone else how often you hear the CSM say "CCP are chill dudes"

lol "were not here for specific stuff. We just say this is broke, fix it"
Every time Mittens says "flying in space" I wanna punch a baby.
Though it would make a great drinking game.

Yes I do recall sometime after looking at a linked post that my AV was down and my firewall was disabled. LOL Forget the 2 Trojans names. Oh BZUB and BIFROST?

TOR has a nice portable package with Firefox that is portable, you can put it on a usb stick to browse any eve/goon related links.

TOR BUndle

NOscript is a real nice addition also. You really need a firewall that can give you quick shutdown and a quick display of your ports, connections and processes also if you want to play with gasoline.

NOSCRIPT firefox addon

a good firewall, made by Russians

I don't see the actual declaration yet, just the shot across the bow, and the inference that there must be change.

When the declaration does come, (and with the current ccp it probably will), I expect high sec to be awash with wrecks and tears on a constant basis.

Anything less just won't do the job.

In the meantime, the rest of CSM should step up and ALL of them release a joint (agreed) statement, so they are seen to be singing from the same sheet.

The purpose of life is not to make a living, but to make a difference...
