The EVE Online Overview is well suited to customization.

Most corporations and alliances have 'a standard overview' to assist players in finding what they are looking to find.

During my time in EVE University instructions were laid out for new members to update their settings to the standard and the whole process was a learning experience in how to manipulate the available incoming data.

Most pvp corporations, alliances, and coalitions have a standard overview screen that can be shared by xml copy and paste to folder.

RAZOR has a custom overview particular to our Alliance, but I think it would be helpful to people unfamiliar with the customization of overview settings to be able to 'safely download' and try different peoples creative overview settings.

To this point I'd like to ask CCP (or the community at large) to provide a safe, virus and keylogger free, upload and download with code review 'place' to share the best of the overview settings. While nothings ever safe, xml screening of the 'most popular' overview iterations shouldn't be hard to do and should be available to players.

This is a positive suggestion, and one I would like to see. It would be very helpful to new players, avoid much frustration and irritation for them, serve as a positive learning tool, and it should be easy to implement.

I can definitely get behind this, without using outside resources the overview can be an absolute pig to set up, took me the best part of 18 months of fiddling to find a setup that I liked and could work with, and that was thanks to the explanation from Eve Uni.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

i personally think whenever a new account is made, there is a preset overview. Players, NPCs, Travel, All, Drones would help new players out, and they dont need to set up a overview which can be hard for new people
