Come on CCP, I've just paid a year in advance on 2 of 4 accounts! I love this game but I really don't want to be deleting such and such folder and fiddling about trying to get it to work. It should just work!

in game window "froze" while entering a value (unstacking pile)
Forced to quit. Unable to relaunch (even after mac reboot)

"Exception raised
Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x13d8fff0 at address 0x916a12fb.
Do you wish to debug it ?"

then :
if [No]

"TransGaming C Runtime Library
ERROR-> buffer overrun!"
and game quit

if [yes]

game quit
I've trashed the whole EVE online folder in application support to make it

Not a "fine" patch for mac users i'm afraid

Anyone had any luck yet? Doesn't look like the CCP bloke is likely to comment.

My PC works fine and with 47041 players online I can't see us being a priority... looks like we've been hung out to dry.

Bah...typical CCP... simultaneously brilliant and stupid.X

I click OK and EVE shuts down

However no update process beginning

Launch eve again, however get stuck at the popup again

Cannot get past that it's stuck

Found a workaround!

In Finder, click on the "Go" menu in the menubar, and select "Go to Folder". Then type (or paste) in:

~/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility

When that folder opens, you should see a file called "evepremiumpatch485832-mac.tgz". Double-clicking it should extract a file called "evepremiumpatch485832-mac". Double-click this file and it should start the patching process.

There's probably an easier way, but this worked for me.

Same here. Restarting EVE manually shows again the "updtae successfull" dialog and clicking OK closes the client.

I am having the exact same problem with "client will now close and the update process...". I can't play.

Here is my situation, the regular EVE Online icon has never worked for me. Whenever I click it I get "EVE Online.app is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash." (Same message whenever I try to run the repair tool) The only way I can play is if I right click and Show Package contents and click on the EVE Online app in the Resources folder.

So now with this update I am stuck. I tried to manually extract the patch as another user posted above but it does not allow me to apply the patch to EVE Online because it is "damaged and should be moved to the trash".

Ugh. So what is a way around this for people who can't run the normal launcher?

I can't use this technique because I have to use the launcher in the resources folder. Any way to get it to apply to that one?

I know that multiple clients running on one machine is not officially supported, but...
I run 3 clients, all via clones made with the clone maker.
The first runs fine. #2 and #3 run at 2 fps. (#2 and #3 are the second and third ones I log in, not which clones they happen to be). This is with all of them in space and all with the same graphics settings (everything low or off, except shader and textures are both set to medium.

Downloaded the patch. Started playing. Game now crashes my computer when start up the game...

Have uninstalled EVE and am now trying to reinstall the entire client. First attempt at a new download has completely failed to run. Trying again with a new download.

Update. Second attempt to download and reinstall client has failed. Game tries to open but fails to launch. Launch window comes up. Says client is validated and then crashes when I hit the "play" button. CCP, please fix this.

Update. I have also tried to add the game to the firewall's list of allowed applications. This also had no effect. I didn't think it would, but hey, why not try it?

Last update. After clearing cache in the repair tool from the launcher window, I now have a working client.

Did you delete the application support file? There is alot of stuff in there that gets glitched and will crash the client.
