Would an alt get flagged for picking up my ore in a can?

Would an alt character get flagged and lose security status if I used him to pick up ore from cans while I mined?

I can see a lot of upside in having an alt, but I'm still figuring out how things work.

An alt would get flagged as a suspect unless he was in fleet or corp with you.

He would not lose security status even if he were flagged as a suspect.

Thanks for clearing that up. I hadn't thought about getting in a fleet. That makes sense.

Alts have more important purposes than picking up ore from a can. Like AWOXing expensive ships, or finding a juicy gank target, or sitting off grid somewhere with boosts running.

No, you should forget that mining stuff. It's bad for your development.

You actually make a decent amount of ISK now mining given the current mineral prices. I remember when Trit was below 3 isk now it sells for 5 isk everywhere. Pretty much every mineral has effectively doubled in price in the last year or two. It will support basic BC PVP as long as you lose a whole bunch of ships. I have enough ISK to buy and fit 30 BCs for PVP. Of coarse I am not going to let my self lose that many ships, but you get the point.

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.

Bear in mind that for the fleet thing to work the alt would have to be on a separate account, you can't be in fleet with an offline character.

if not in corp yeah. simple to fix just wait till no one else in belt then abandon it and grab with your alt
