I downloaded the mac client for EVE about a week ago and after attempting to install it numerous times, I was repeatedly presented with an I/O error after a certain amount of data had been installed. Due to the large client download size, and the unpredictability of whether or not I'd get another corrupt download, I tried playing EVE directly through the .dmg file. This worked relatively well for a few days with only 2 crashes, but now that a new patch is out, I'd like to have a proper installation of the application so that I can play uninterrupted as new updates come out.

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem other than re-downloading the file? And if I were to simply re-download the file, what is the likelihood that the file would be in any better shape?
