We LOVE the New stuff with BlackOps Lol

But We were discussing it and well We came up with a Problem. Cry

Blockade runners

Only The Prowler has 2 High Slots (Cloak and Cyno) Shocked

Leaving the Crane, Viator and Prorator with Only 1 High Slot Shocked

This Seems Wrong... Evil

Leaving either T3's or Just a Single Obvious bait Ship. Blink

CCP Intended or Oversight? Ugh

If it's a bait ship, you don't need the cloak. Cool

But I agree, it sucks for the other BRs.

The Blockade Runner change was made as a quick tweak for completeness when we updated the Strategic Cruiser covert cyno ability. We'll evaluate what to do with the blockade runner highslots when we do the full rebalance on them at a later time.

Yup, totally true. I think this is a huge CCP oversight I mean cmon its great u can light covert cynos! BUT U CANT CLOAK gf.

Right now the situation is balanced:

Eh, for nullsec/wormhole work, the Prowler gets the extra high, a big advantage. (can fit Probe launcher, Cyno, etc, as well as a cloak...)

Its downside is a significant one, its the ONLY BR that can't hit 10K in capacity.

There is no way to push its cargo capacity over 10K (size necessary for hauling Cruisers/Hacs/Recons....)


If all BR's are going to get a 'utility' high, removing its Prowler's racial advantage as 'the wormhole BR'

......I want to see the Prowler's cargo cap buffed so it can hit 10K.

Due to the title, I thought this thread was about Black Ops. The initial post mentions Black Ops but then quickly focuses attention on Blockade Runners.

So now this thread is about what exactly?

Light the covert cyno with a recon ship the way it's meant to be. You can't beat 30 second cynos.

I'm just saying that the Prowler's 'perk' is the extra high.
Its disadvantage (and its a big one) is that no fitting (T2 Rigs included) can get it over the 10K threshold, also unique.

If all BR's get an extra high, the Prowler will need a bit of cargohold love or an extra Low slot, to keep it in the game.
