here is something I found out today... probably will require a "slowpoke" *.gif but what the heck why not...

so you start the game doing aura's missions then get to a station with 6 career agents, do those and get tons of ships which you can use or sell + nice skill books, free gear, money and ofc standings with faction\agent.

Now as a new player with low skills I have many things which I want to train and while I do that I also try to take part in variety of activities to pass the time and gain some resources to aid me upgrade my stuff and such...

so...

I'm flying to caldari space (I'm amarr pilot) and going to sell a maller which I got there as a gift from my corp mate, then I notice that thought I finished career missions with the amarr faction I can to same 6 agent arc missions (60 missions total) again on the caldari space station with the caldari agents!
Free ships and booty yay...

I guess that minmatar and gallente will work as well.

have fun.

Well actually there are 12 sets of career agents you can run

4 empire factions
Each with 3 different noob schools

This makes 12 career sets wich you all can run once.

I've found those to be really helpful to run, too.

At first I had only run 1 school for each empire faction, until I realized (last week) that there were 2 more schools for each faction. That's 400 more missions!

So during this 3-day weekend, I'll have knocked out those 400 and racked in ~100million ISK, standings, and I still have a bunch of skill books to sell off. Maybe it's not alot, but it was good experience.

I ended up just taking a destroyer down to the first school on my list, start the industry/business, then the military missions as a pair and finally the exploration.

For that last Business mission where you have to manufacture (or purchase..) the ammo.. I would start the job running (because it's like 2.5 hours or something), run the combat and exploration missions, then I would take the Venture they give you, pack it up with some of the modules and books and fly it back home (I hate leaving crap all over..), jump back in an Ibis and grab my destroyer and on to the next site!

Don't get too excited mate.

They're only cheap ships, and the plan would be a pretty poor return on your time if you're only doing for the money.

If you really enjoy it go ahead, but there is a ton of more fun/better income stuff to move onto.

Fly safe.

1. it's kinda fun to expiriance all areas of the game (faction wise).
2. I'm new player, under 300k sp with less then 4 mil ISK right now and fancy myself with t1 coercer.
while training my skill between doing the career agents and agent mission L1 I prefer the career as benefits are much greater.

example, punisher alone is around 650k on market, 3 of those for free is major boost for me as starter player.

All negative comments aside, I love you for this post. I stupidly declined a mission from my school so I had no way to do anything but the first explorer tutorial so scanning has evaded me for a week and a half. I know what I'm doing when I get off work!

I'm just saying, pretty much from a week or so into the your capsuleer career, there are a dozen or more activities you can do to make 50-100m isk per night - circa 3hrs or so.

Be that moving up the missioning ladder,
The exploration ladder
FW
Wormholes
Incursions
Piracy

or a ton of other stuff. As a guide, if it brings you in less than 50m a night, -unless you really like doing it you could definitely do better.

And there are a lot of players who make a hell of a lot more than that. I'm just trying to offer a guide of what to aim for.

there is truth in what you're saying but I'm in no hurry and would like to take advantage of this issue before I move ahead.

Then you certainly don't need my or anyone else's permission matey!

Knock yourself out!

There's a lot to be said your your measured pace anyway. Too many of us raced ahead and wanted to do everything in the first month, and that is bad for your core skills.

C U in the black my friend. Fly safe.

Makes me wonder: if you ran lvl 2-3 missions would you not make more ISK than running noob agent NPC missions? That ISK could be spent on ships and stuff the agents give you.

thing is that those career agents got some benefits over normal missions,
1. you gain standings with various corps and factions.
2. can't get easier then that > very fast.
3. you get to experience the technology of the different factions.
4. crap load of free ships, modules and skill books.. some implants too.

also as an example... just out of my head after 2 military career agents on the caldari station I got 3 condors + 1 merlin + 1 cormorant , and that's not including skillbooks\ loot \ modules etc...
and it was fast, safe and easy.

why not?

other then that I got experience with rushing ahead content on mmos, on swtor I've finishe all the content possible in the game after 1 month (except the story missions for other 7 classes) so I prefer to take it easy and enjoy each step of the game from lowly tutorials through agent 1 missions up to World war in space combining 10,000 ships over space cookies.

I could easily be wrong, but don't tutorial agents reset after 3 months, just like the SoE arc and Pirate arcs?

I think its well worth going round and doing all the different faction tutorial career agents, as mentioned the initial standings you get with different corporations can be useful later on, and the free stuff you get is of course nice.

It can also help you to get a brief feel of the different factions ships, weapons, mechanics etc... This could help you chose the type of ship and race you initally want to fly.

Eve is a very slow paced game, so there is no rush, take your time mate.

That's the Sisters of Eve epic arc, I'm not sure because I've not done them but IIRC the faction arcs are repeatable as well.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
