Launcher Error

I am playing on a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.7.5, it used to be not as often, but more frequently I get an eve online launcher exception error

Naturally I did not include the entire error because it is lengthy; however, at any rate it requires I do one of two things. First, I can launch out of the resources folder manually by passing the launcher, or I can redownload all 11 gigs and reinstall the client. If I bypass it, then when a new patch comes out im screwed. By doing this I can not update the client because the patching will not begin unless your using the launcher to patch it with. Since I am unable to use the launcher, it requires re downloading.

In all honesty I getting down right sick of needing to redownload this damn thing every time there is an update. I think its time you guys seriously look into creating a native osx client instead of relying on emulation software to do your job for you.

I just downloaded eve last night and this morning was getting the launcher exception error. All i did to fix it was delete the cache folder in the eve folder.

The launcher doesn't launch Eve for me. I deleted the cache folder in Eve Online but no luck. Running it on an iMac, 2.5Ghz i5, 4 GB memory, OS 10.7.5.

I guess the option, if I don't hear back from CCP, is to just download the entire file from scratch? And I assume there's some way of telling it during the download that I already bought it once before?

OKay, got it working!

Went to OS X Specific Issues, used first suggestion, per below:

The following are a list of specific issues for OS X 10.6 and 10.7

Corrupt installation/patching

In the case of a corrupt installation or patch the Launcher will not start or the client will not start.
You can work around this in two different ways.

1. Open the Terminal Application or use Finder to work your way to this path:
EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/CCP/EVE

In there delete the "common.ini" file and start the client again. It will start the launcher and repair the client for you automatically.
