Actually FW is probably one of the few places that frigates and destroyers actually do well, because the complexes have size limits on all their acceleration gates. So if you go to a novice site that only admits frigates, well then no one else is going to be able to bring anything bigger than a frigate in there after you either (of course they can still bring in, like, twenty frigates at once, so...)

And luckily for those people, many of the older "leet" PvP types consider frigates to be beneath them, so you're more likely to only encounter people more on your own skill level. Not always, but often enough.

Point being, you're a lot more likely to find a good fight in FW than anywhere else, because it's one of the few places left where the rule of the day isn't"Falcon Bubble on Gate" and "Cyno the Titans!" as a knee-jerk PvP format.

I see... that's a good point there but wouldn't militia thing will cause me to lose major standings with other empires to a point where I won't be able to travel inside their space?

The majority of pvp in low sec will have consequences one way or another, either thru losing faction standing by being part of factional warfare or by losing security status from attacking neutral pilots. It's just something you have to accept if you want to live and fight in low sec.

As others have said, fw space is great for finding fights in frigates/destroyers right now, regardless of whether you are actually in a fw corp or not.

You could probably buy yourself a decent number of frigates in a market hub near fw space, I'd recommend Amarr as it's only 6 or 7 jumps out from some good fw systems, fit them up and head out into fw space and try to find some fights in the novice complexes.

Yes you will lose some security status, but provided you don't pod anyone the loss will not be too severe, and as long as you stay above -2 you will be able to freely move thru any high sec system. Just be aware of your timers, I'd advise against returning to high sec whilst under a suspect timer.

I'd recommend joining RvB to learn to pew pew if you are worried about faction status hits like me. It's a good group of guys and girls and they have a no podding rule (please note that people who have war dec'd RvB do not have to follow this and they are free to pod you if they wish).

However if you are in it for isk that's not really the best way to go about it. However the RvB noobfleet can help there if you don't abuse it.

Some people also say E-uni however I prefer to learn by doing so RvB worked wonders for me.

That's corrent, however each empire factions have trade hubs. If you are gallente and in militia why the hack would you wanna go to Jita? To save 5% on your buying?

You can get things done in any faction's territory you just gotta decide where you wanna go and dedicate! That's important. You can try a couple of things but without dedication it's not going to be easy to be successful in anything you do.

As for the 5-10 frigs fitted and ready to go: they are cheap! If you have somehow managed to carebear together 50million ISK that will provide you with enough ISK to do frig PVP for quite a while...

Question is: do you want to have fun or do you want to have lots of ISK? The two at the beginning are usually mutually exclusive.

it's not frigs are expensive it's they are not available everywhere.
I solved that problem by training skills to fly all 4 faction frigates and by so doing I can also fly all faction destroyers as well now.
also trained (as I'm heavy invested in gunnery) hybrid turret and projectile turrets so I can benefit from those frigates bonuses as well.

well I'm doing now the career missions on all 12 station available should have plenty of frigs.

-you can go into plexes in FW even if you are not in FW and kill people, solo or with corp mates dosent matter, you also dont need max skill you can kill with a basic t1 fit (depends on what ship you use and against who you fight), ex Condor kiter, Hookbill Kiter, coercer brawler, tristan

- in a fleet dosent realy matter, you can just get tackle with one heavy tackle ship and then warp the rest of the fleet in :))

- you need tactical preparation so you know what ship you are going up agains, popular fits, ship capabilities

- START pvp all day

- Learn to use D-scan

-GET THERMODINAMICS

-You do not talk about fight club

I see, then the two paths are:
1. skill up to max frig skills and then FW PVP
2. trial and error.

got it.

Theres also 3. which is 'Do one of the fine PvP courses offered bty entities like Agony Unleashed'.

But, mostly 2.

Note doing 1. doesnt help at all with *player* skills, like for example using your d-scanner to identify enemy ships as they are warping in on you.

so in my opinion after today in order to enjoy pvp fully a group of corps mates should arrange around central space station hold in there crap loads of new ships and mods to fit + place all of the fleet members clones there so when ship get smacked you get new one asap.

by doing so I get the feeling that on eve everything even pvp require a lot of prepration :P

am I right?

Pretty much. On the bright side you'll die less when you're more experienced.

fight start , 3 shots from omen, I'm dead.

If this happened something went horribly, horribly wrong. It sounds like you were microwarping in a straight line towards him with no tank on or something. I recommend watching this, reading this and reading #2 here.
