Although I doubt you'll find a single pilot who regularly joins fleet who cares about the fleet commander knowing where he is and what he's flying. It really sounds like you're following a design document for the sake of following a design document.

I'd look into having an icon or colored bar to denote a player who DOES NOT QUALIFY (i.e. they lack the Leadership 5 pre-req for example) in any of the Squad Leader, WC, FC etc. position**.
Generally, this causes A LOT OF CONFUSION as people check and re-check fleet bonuses.

** Edit: To clarify, checks only need to be done for Squad Leader, WC, FC etc slots. So if someone with Leadership 4 moves into the Squad Leader slot, the slot background turns red for example.
This will make it a cinch when sorting out a free-move fleet when not everyone's familiar with the fleet structure requirements.

There is an exception to this it seems. Well, what is gonna happen when you mass-drag characters as per tomorrows patch?
Will the fleet window simply reject it, like the Search in People&Places?

I noticed, right now, you can multi-drag people into formatted text fields as links, into chat channels to invite them and into EveMail address fields.

can you revam pos now? or at last fix the way hangars are used in it? it is a pain... make all buildings share the same hangar on it... (increasing space)....

the fan fest is comming and we still dont have a big part of what was promissed... where is the ring minning!?

I know you can make it work for multi-drag aswell! I just know!

Great changes. Thank you. Something not addressed, what about creating "roles" in fleet? Specifically, the ability to fleet warp. At present only the FC has that ability. So if a cloaky scans down a target that player has to be in the FC position for the whole fleet to be warped. This might result in a Fleet Booster having to be moved out of position to enable the functionality for the cloaky. If a particular player in another position could be assigned that role/abilility that would be nice. Less disruption to boosting and hierarchy.

I hope CCP delays any requirement of boosters having to be ongrid until this is fixed.

that was actually possible before... by doing show info on the crystal, then you would have the damage in the attributes tab
