Not entirely true, but most likely. A fine from customs can put you in to negative (and you will be perma- webbed and need to file a 'stuck' petition to go on your merry way dead broke).

now someone have told me i should just quit or delete my toon and start over beacuse i have so low SP?!
is this the best way or is that a stupid idea? i have 1.7mill SP...

It all depends, personally I'd see it as a challenge to earn it back but if I only had 1.7mil SP Thats around what a month and half's training...

If you are attached to the name just create a trade alt and you can make that back in a couple of weeks and then you can carry on but if you aren;t attached just biomass it and start again.

As others have pointed out. You can't really use that character to earn isk back because
- you cannot buy anything
- you cannot sell anything (due to broker fees)

So it would be easier to use a fresh character and 1.7 is not that much to lose.

However, there is another way if you want to keep the character. You can buy a GTC from CCP or from a reseller. Then covert that GTC into 2 PLEX on another character and sell the PLEX on the market. Then you'll have enough isk to balance your wallet. Just send it from the alt to your main character after the PLEX sold.

To be honest I started a "trade alt" with 25mil last year just to see how much I could earn in a month. I made 1.3bil and that wasn't sitting doing it 24 hours a day it was about 2 hours a day a couple of days a week.

to be honest from 25 to 1.3bil isn't really that mega anyway I've known guys get a few bill in a month doing it.

Honestly mate im not sure 1.7 mil SP is worth the 30 dollars in PLEX to get that character back in the green.
I mean, if you've got the cash lying around I suppose you could go for it.
Anyway, it would be EXTREMELY difficult to get yourself back to positive without buying PLEX.

I dont so PLEX is out of the question! But i have started a new char and om gioing the way with mining to start with so we will see if i Get the other guy back to positive some day! :D

Well I'm not going to give away too much but there are quite a few items that buy/sell more than others a day that have a markup of 75k-100k (just search through the markets items in Jita, also unfortunately you're competing against the usual people looking for th esame thing as you.) also implants are always a good earner. get the trade skills trained up including margin trading (very helpful skill) and before you know it you will be earning isk.
You can always install a second one down in Amarr as well.

Don;t go into it expecting to make billions in a week but if you play it smart and keep an eye on buying and selling amounts you can start to make some half decent cash after a couple of weeks.

I'm tiny tiny tiny fry when it comes to making money trading but if I can make enough for a plex or two doing it anybody can.

Some people like mining, but many consider it to be the most boring part of EVE. Sure you can make easy money with it but it will probably kill your motivation to play the game.

You can also make money with shooting things (missions), ninja salvaging, exploration, ganking other players, ...

Yes, you find exploration sites and kill npcs for loot, hack into containers, analyze ancient data, salvage materials etc.
For a new player, this may not be the easiest way to earn money because you will need some skill books, skill training and practice to find things, but it's surely more entertaining than mining.

Would you say i should do that instead of mining seeing i dont play more then maybe 2-3 hours a day? And i want to have some fun and maybe adventures! Hehe
