If you want to bot leave the game. And the thread is about you wanting to bot because you brought it up in the first post.

You could, you know, just pay the £10 or $12 or whatever it is?

That's what I read, and the op can say its not about bottling all he likes, he's full of it.

Guy wants to bot. Period.

^the Goon is right.

It's easy to get the money for plex if you want to, I'm just too cheap (in ingame money) to do so :p Which activity, he might ask? Any - it just takes the correct approach.

The means of making isk to buy plex have increase. Faction warfare, and the way incursions were both worked toward helping elevate plex to where they are now.

Said it twice in fact.

If only he could bot, then he wouldn't have to worry about paying for the game.

Op should just quit EVE so he doesn't have to worry about plex pricesg, and the rest of us don't have to worry about another **** gamer.

No no I don't and No it doesnt stay that at all.

Lets clear something, for what appears to be the one's that cant' read simple English

I am NOT someone who uses bots, I have NEVER been someone who uses bots and its NOT my intention to use them. They are illegal in the game and anyone who uses them should be expelled! Is that clear enough !!

If you have actually read my initial thread and my subsequent re-write and not just looked for a buzz word, you'll read I was asking about what I preceive to be the increase cost of plex to continue to play Eve.

Perhaps I should re-phrase my initial thread topic. How about.

Hello all, I've been playing Eve for just over 2 years and mostly do Security level 3 and 4 missions and weekends of mining to supliment my eve ISK account. I usually stay with the high security regions as I find when I venture our, I get basted to crap by dozern of little (word removed) who wait for unsuspecting traders to get beyond safe areas,.

I'm finding it hard to keep up buying the monthly subscriptions of affording around 650 million isk for a month's extention and would welcome tips/comments on how I can raise these funds more quickly without the tedium of mining, transport missions and sec 3 and 4 kill missions within relatively high security systems.

Better.... ?

There is a finite supply of PLEX into EVE. They're created by players buying Game Time Cards for real money, converting them into PLEX and selling them, not by CCP spawning them as many seem to assume (I hope you didn't assume that?)

So let's say that there are 10,000 PLEX per month created into EVE. Their ISK price will be at the level that the 10,000 richest characters owned by players who don't want to pay a subscription will pay. Now if it was easily viable for a character who engaged in low-level play in the safest area to raise this amount of surplus ISK, there would be many more than just 10,000 players who could pay that price. Given that pretty much everyone would like to play for free, then obviously the price will rise to the point where the number of people who can afford it equals the number of PLEX available.

Now recently (by which I mean comparitively recently from my perspective of playing for 6.5 years) CCP introduced a number of mechanics that made relatively small groups of players a vast amount of ISK via PvE methods; there was the POS mods & mechanical parts screwup when Planetary Interaction was introduced, there was the technetium bottleneck when moon minerals were rebalanced, then Incursions until they were rebalanced, and then the Faction Warfare wealth fountain last summer. Each of these events created a large pool of extremely wealthy players who, naturally, used their in game wealth to pay for their accounts. You're making maybe 20-30M an hour at most doing level 3 missions, but you're competing against people who merrily farmed up 200M per hour or more running FW plexes all summer. So of course PLEX seem expensive to you.

The fantasty universe I live in err that would be the Eve Universe!

and I'm not asking for the price to go down, I do have a grasp of economics, I'm just asking why hasn't the reward system risen in line to reflect this over the past few years.

I do missions too, however, if a newbie to the game starts with a month's membership then is hit with a 650 million cost of another month, is it farr to expect them in a newbie ship with simple mission to get to a standard where they can afford a 650 million cost bill to continue to play...

I'm just starting a thread, no bashing please.

EvE is not FTP. People do not have to afford 650 millions per month, they have to afford 15 euros/dollars per month.

The PLEX system is secondary. For you to purchase game time with ISK, someone DID have to pay 20 euros/dollars (broadly speaking, I know about special websites and special CCP packs).

And those people can ask for whatever they WANT.

It's THEIR item.

You might as well complain because of the price someone is asking for ships or modules. Makes zero sense.

I just bought one for 530 they're pretty cheap at the moment. just wait until the next power of 2 deal...

if you don't want to be at the mercy of the market you need to get some coin to rub together and buy it up when prices are depressed.

You realize if they allowed botting, they'd be allowing it for everyone. What do you think will happen to the price of the ore you sell to make your ISK if the botting floodgates were opened. Miners will become even poorer in relation to players who pursue other careers. If botting were allowed, you can say goodbye to ever buying PLEX mining, at least not every month on every account.

I don't know what your level of education is, but if you're mining to begin with, I doubt youre a PhD in economics...

You know, that could actually be a legitiment tactic!
Allow everyone to bot, and doing so make all the tasks that bots can perform worthless. Brilliant!

Hi everyone,

I've been paying EVE for over 2 years and in that time the cost of buying PLEX in the game has almost doubled in purchase price.

The cost of mining and other game rewards has not gone up to reflect this inflation cost, so can someone shed any light as to why the cost of in-game plex gone up ? Surely with more and more people playing Eve, this cost should have gone down to reflect the swelling numbers of new players and the options available to buy more Plex.

This is frustrating, especially as Eve does not allow the use of bots to mine, so personally I find more and more of my game time, is spent mining, which lets face it, is a very tedious task and can take hours and hours of plain boredom, especialy if you only have 1 character (I have more than 1, however im sure you get my point here).

At least if you allowed bots to mine, they could take some of the tediousness out of the game and allow genuine game play as opposed to spending hours mining over and over just to attempt to be able to buy in game plex.

Has anyone else found the prices in the game for items as generally gone up over the past few years ?

I do apreciate that bots can be exploited and there are forces at large who will take advantage of this. My point here ISNT about bots, its about the rising cost of in game Plex.

Be happy that CCP give you the option to grind ISK and buy PLEX to suit your cheapo lifestyle. You could also avoid grinding and enjoy the fun aspects of the game more by just paying a small $$ fee each month for this subscription base space ship MMO. And if you do you also help others with cheapo lifestyles by lowering demands and bringing down the in-game price of PLEX.

It is your choice. You life. Your money. Spend them where they matter.

Sounds like your trying to justify botting because of plex price? One of the reasons plex went up is because of botting. Seriously, what were you thinking by making that statement?

Easy solutions.

1.) Don't waste your time with mining, but instead actually play the game instead of watching por... youtube.
1a.) I *know* that you're mining mostly afk, because it takes the least effort and you can do other stuff while doing it.
1aa.) How do i know ? Because you're indirectly admitting it! Congratulations, genius !

2.) Get a ******* job.

Do you have any idea how big the target is you have painted onto yourself ? The amount of ISK you'll lose
because of this thread will make you UNSUB (byeeee!!! *waves*) because of your soon-to-be-had losses !

Well done, genius !

edit: You're not helping against my insane headache !
