I also played my junior understudy part in the insurance nerf, the loot mineral nerf and the drone loot rebalance, as long as we're counting trophies.

it really doesn't matter where ISK is being generated as long as demand in the economy is healthy. High sec being profitable generates a large part of that demand through ever greater e-peen fits for faster mission F1ing. anything that reduces demand will impact anyone earning ISK through LP or loot drops as they have to monetise that income through the market.

the best way to stimulate that demand and increase nullsec income is to scan them down and gank their balls off.

The EVE economy is fueled by ships and modules being blown up and requiring replacement, and nullsec consumes more ships, and therefore has greater economic relevance, then all other regions combined. It's no exaggeration to say that highsec's main reason for existence is to cheaply take raw materials and turn them into finished product for nullsec wars. The best way of upping ship consumption in other regions would be to remove NPC corps and fix wardec evasion and corphopping, while fixing industry around each secstatus' resource consumption needs.

Or acknowledge that regional manufacturing is as completely irrelevant in eve as it is IRL. You might as well complain about China having all the cheap labour. If you can buy it in jita and put it on a freighter then that';s what you should be doing. And you should be shipping materials and items unique to your region up to high to pay for them.

and restricting access to high sec rich resources like tritanium is neccesary because if you can mine it in high sec quantities in null then there is just no exposure to risk or limit to the blob. putting the resources people need in their backyards is hardly an incentive for them to undock and move their space buns.

Tens of thousands of people working together to achieve a single goal: Completely unfair.

One man mining in a safe zone controlling the game of thousands of players: A-OK.

PS: Why is it good game design to limit manufacturing to a single area?

Folks,

I've had to clean up some of the more overt trolling and blatantly offensive posts.

I know this whole topic is emotive and in the right method its worthy of debate, but continuing to troll and lambast instead of debating nicely will result in reprimands being handed out.

Please, won't somebody thing of the Reprimands ? Smile

Seriously though, please be nice ...

Since the OP was an open and unashamed troll, it's rather disngenuous to wait until page 9 before intervening.

Because otherwise there's no cause for either region to interact. you have to make people move around for resources or there wouldn't be trade between regions. There would be no risk without the need for logistics as you could farm and stockpile massive quantities of resources and never move. it would make null remarkably like high sec without CONCORD or factions.

I mean fair play to people who would like that and pop out for the occasional titan disco blob but that sounds pretty dull to me.

the entire thread is a troll, designed to use you to do exactly what you're doing

it's openly trolling and using reports to have isd demand it be treated as a legitimate point of view

you're being played, if you were deleting overt trolling there'd be no sariah kion posts in this thread

plus, my offer regarding the csm was 100% sincere i have a great interest in finding a useful empty suit to "represent" highsec

A funny thought occurred to me a few minutes ago; what if CCP actually has the ISK well balanced? I mean they have lots of data and numbers and can see whats going where. If the "ISK faucets" and "easy lev 4 ISK" are off the table then what is left?

What changes would benefit both null and high and make Eve a more interactive and engaging place?

Of course its easy to try and deflect and launch ad hominems like this. I would consider the source of this attack, his alliance, and his posting history and come to the conclusion that this tactic has been used numerous times to attack the posters of ideas that fly in the face of their VERY partisan ideas and motives.

The usual suspects have been trying to take this thread off the tracks since the beginning because the message and idea hits very close to the truth.

I thank the moderators for not giving into these tactics and allowing the discourse to continue.

basically to treat sariah kion's points as worthy of debate is like "why don't we have intelligent design discussed in biology classes, we must treat legitimate points of view and hilarious nonsense exactly the same"
