I play on a multi-monitor setup (using EyeFinity) with Eve in a window. When in space I find it difficult to figure out how to orient my view to see (for example) my destination gate if doesn't appear somewhere in the field of view. I find scouring the edges of my windows looking for that little, yellow marker very difficult.

What I'd like to have is some sort of ring (or rectangle - choice is always good) in my centre view to which small arrows for anything on my overview are snapped. Colour-coding based on the overview would be nice, too, as would some sort of glow/flash for anything that I've locked (or has me locked). Ideally, I should be able to control the size and position of this HUD element.

All too often I find myself spinning my view, trying to locate important things I know are there. This would help a lot and would seem to be a pretty simple addition. Of course, those who don't want it would have the option to turn it off.

You can use the new camera tracking feature for this select the item and toggle the key for camera tracking and you will be looking at the object in space.

Tho I kind of agree that for quick tracking of roughly where an object is in relation to you without actually looking at it currently the game is lacking and highlighting the object when its pinned to the screen edge would help a lot.
