Formatting PC. Forced to redownload?

I've been having computer issues and so I've formatted once everyday or so as I try to debug. I also bought a new PC so I am formatting that.

Everytime I format I have to redownload eve which takes an hour or so over here in South Korea.

Is it possible to backup my current even instll somehow to avoid downloading it everytime i format?

I believe I clicked 'clean install files' last time i installed. Am I forced to redownload?


If so, what can I do differently next time I download to avoid having to download it the next time?

Just download and backup the offline installer http://community.eveonline.com/download/?fallback=1&

Yes,
I have copied my CCP
directory to another
storage device.

You can copy the ccp folder back, and it will work.

There is another folder that eve uses,
"c:\ProgramData\CCP"

ProgramData is, however, hidden.
And I am almost sure that you do not need that folder.

then there is
C:\Users\ {your computer account name} \Documents\EVE
C:\Users\ {your computer account name} \AppData\Local\CCP\EVE

Might want to get them, too.

Each ccp folder, would have to go back to the EXACT same path, as they were.

So should you want to keep it simple . . .
Just copy the
" C:\Program Files (x86)\ccp"

into an external hard drive.
