After exiting Eve my screen stays darkened

I don't have this problem on my desktop which is Nvidia

but playing Eve on my laptop which is ATI when I exit the game my screen is darkened. The brighness setting hasn't changed the screen has this dark screen overlay.

only way to get the screen to go back to normal is change to another resolution then change it back to normal resolution.
or reboot


the only way I've been able to temporary fix this problem is setting Eve Launcher and put a check box in "Don't use Windows Decorations"

my laptop is Windows 7 home 64 bit, 4 gigs ram, ATI 3200 vid card, playing Eve it gets 40-50 fps so I normally use it as my hauler bot while I'm mining on desktop or picking up loot while desktop missions

anyhow I really hate setting don't use windows decorations on it cause all the flashing it causes in and out of game


But I never had this problem on my desktop, my desktop is Windows 7 64 bit pro, 16 gig ram, 2 evga nvidia 670 ftw edition cards and the screen darkens when you start the game as expected, but when I exit the screen goes back to normal as expected.

but on the laptop the game is stuck in this dark mode until i manually change resolutions then change back or reboot.

very annoying so much so I rarely use the 2nd account anymore.

hot fix for you . .

pressing "ctrl shift esc "
(control shift escape)

That would open up "Windows Task Manager",
within the applications tab,
locate eve,
right click it,
select "goto process",

that would flip the tabs into "processes" tab,
where a line is now highlighted.
That line is the process you asked to be shown via "goto process",

Right click that line and press "end process"

There are of course side effects
from terminating a process in this way,
So i would let eve exit,
and wait a couple of seconds before, you shot.
