Question about Assault Ship Changes in the Winter Expansion

While specific AF boni are nice way to buff they don't really add to their gameplay value.
Personally I'd like to see some kind of role for them, that is more than just being "awesome frigates"


Therefore I would propose to make them all immune to electronic warfare except scramblers/disruptors and execpt ewar deployed by other frigates.
There you have a nice and cool role.


P.S: this plus another medslot for the retri ofc Big smile

Making them immune to Ewar would be an excellent role bonus. Falcons beware!

Back in reality, however, it would put an immediate halt to people using ecm drones.

There has always been a suggestion that they be allowed to use medium guns. When I've heard it I've rolled my eyes. With the advent of the tier three battlecruisers, I'm no longer rolling my eyes.

Retribution : +1 Med. Seriously, is there other AF that don't have 2+ Med slots ? No... Why ?

Fix the Retribution please.

And +1 for a moderate 4th bonus.

It seems to me that a lot of the 'balance' changes are being done for the sake of it, creating new FOTMs; which does nothing but generate more threads like this one asking for even MORE changes - to compensate for the unnecessary tweaks to existing ship bonuses (with the exclusion of hybrids, again this kind of goes without saying).



Would have to echo this sentiment. Seems like the most common argument for giving AFs a fourth bonus is "because every other t2 has it".

AFs are being used to a great extent in low-sec – sure, they might not be the most common ship you see in 0,0 fleet compositions. But then again I don't think they were ever meant to.
