Help converting .ogg music files

Hello there!

First of all, I'm not sure this the correct place to put this but I couldn't find a more fitting location :P

Well, I've been recently exploring some WH-space and I just fell in love with the new ambient music that plays there, which seems like is the same for nullsec. Since I have all the old music files (before the Jukebox was removed) in my music player for personal use, I wanted to add that impressive track to my list. That's when the nightmare started.

It wasn't the first time I converted .ogg files into .mp3 or .wav, so I first tried with Audacity. It couldn't recognise the file type. I tried to just open it with players like VAC and VLC, with no better result. I then tried with several converters. I even tried with the Windows command console. No result: seems like those files aren't of the common .ogg kind.

I'm getting desperate. Please, if someone knows how to effectively convert these files into something playable (.mp3, .wav), or just play them as .ogg and record the sound with another program, or even send me the converted file, I'd be massively thankful. Hell, I'd even pay him/her in ISK if he/she wants. Please! Cry

Million thanks in advance!!

As said in the OP, that's the first program I tried with, but it couldn't recognise the file type, even though I had opened .ogg files before with it. I might be able to get other versions of Audacity, but it doesn't seem able to convert the files Cry

there is a separate download that you need for ogg files to work with Audacity.
I cant remember where i found it or what it is called, but it is out there.

ogg vorbis is a **** of a format due to being propitiatory Sony software. - would be great otherwise.

oh you could also try SonicStage. - Sony bloatware with conversion tool

hope this helps

Thank you man; but at the end I decided to just record the songs with a recording program while they played. I'll upload it to YouTube (respecting copyright, of course) for anyone else that wants to listen to it; I'll post the link here as soon as it's done.

I have uploaded the songs to YouTube in this link:

As said in the video description, I do not own any copyright from EVE Online, etc. I hope you enjoy it :)
