So what you're saying is, you expect me to lay in the comfort of my own bed with various refreshments and food items, and watch live streams from fanfest, without even having to put any clothes on, or fly to the opposite side of the globe? (I'm in Vancouver, Canada) What next, you're going to tell me that I don't have to bathe either to get all the glorious details on CCP deciding to revamp POSes afterall considering it's the most playerbase requested feature?

Iceland has a strict quota on nerds, CCP is probably already over the limit....

You know, on a serious note, I actually kind of feel bad for Reykjavik's economy. Here they are, looking for every shot in the arm they can get to recover from the banking crisis, and here's an event that could draw hundreds or thousands of more people to their hotels, restaurants, BARS.

And we can't come, because tickets are sold out. Think this epitomizes the phrase "welp".

It's limited by the size of the venue not the Icelandic government. If you want to blame someone it's CCP but I'd hazard a guess the venue is the biggest public space available.

Edit: Also you're a mong for suggesting this has anything directly to do with the Icelandic (Not Reykjavik) government. You;re merican aren't you?

Confirm, you could have booked a second venue adjacent / near to Harpa and increased event attendance further.



As mentioned elsewhere, flights and hotels have always been the big costs associated with Fanfest, so for those who can't afford the full package in December, you buy things as you can. Tickets have always been very easy to come by in the past, and the first official warning we had that tickets were getting low was the day they sold out, a week after the early bird ended and normal pricing began.

Also, you sure seem to love the word "mong". Go get some new insulting phrases, you know, switch it up a bit. Just a suggestion.

I could see that, maybe next year once DUST has gone live, if they'd have a simultaneous FanFest with us.

However, that's a pretty decent distance to travel between sites, and you run the risk of possibly overbooking accomodations if the 11th Anniversary is substantially lower in turnout than this year. A better idea, if possible, is book another venue close to Harpa, to allow better accessibility by walking, plus then everyone's closer to hotels, bars, etc.

I remember walking from the convention center back to Nonni's once or twice, that was a hefty half hour of walking or so.

So where can we find info about the stream such as cost etc? Will it be the same setup as last year?

I've also heard rumors from groups I won't name (Dirtnap squad) that they planned to show up at fanfest wearing diapers and carrying baby rattles. Did this ever happen with said group/s I will not name? (DNS)
