In a time when most miners were below average intelligence and cant tank a single catalyst... One man had an idea.... to mine..... like a boss.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

All mining supercaps are inferior to the mining Nyx. MinerNyx pilots have developed true mining chi. Why? Think about it.

Here we see the stately but deadly Machariel in its natural habitat. Between rat hunts, the Machariel can be seen lazing about in the asteroid fields, munching on rocks to aid in its digestion. Some observers have assumed the creature was merely lazy, and using the rocks as a sort of subsistence nourishment at times when it doesn't feel up to hunting. A truly graceful and enigmatic being is the Machariel.

No better voice then the voice of god narrating such an awesome piece of wordsmanship.

Hmm... if this was in low-sec I'd say that he's trying to scare of potential gankers who will simply say "Oh crap a Mach, RUN AWAY!" before they bother to look too close.

But in 0.5... well, look at it like this: 0.5 is miner ganker paradise, because that's the lowest CONCORD response time this side of high-sec. But this guy/gal, are they going to get ganked? Not unless Mittani himself is leading the squad. This is someone can truly AFK mine without a care in the world.

Then again maybe they were just bored. I'm betting on the "Materials for War Prep" theory and will expand it further: The pilot probably doesn't have one SP devoted to anything past Mining 1... and wants to keep it that way.

I highly doubt that ship can be easily suicide ganked in high security, even by a coordinated attack from 1/2 dozen gankers. The Mach has ample slots to fit up a massive tank, even if it had equipped all low slots with expanded cargoholds, the mid and rig slots would still give it plenty of tank.

I see nothing wrong in being innovative and safeguarding oneself from gankers.

A mining Mach has about ~46k EHP with 2.7k of cargo space. (CPU is really tight.) A Procurer has ~42k EHP with 12.0k of ore space.

So I guess the Mach isn't that great of an AFK miner; thus there's no need to nerf the Mach.

edit: Mach and Procurer both fit with 2x MLU IIs.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

Do you know what he was mining? You need Kernite for the L4 storyline. Also Id drop MLUs in a mining Mach, to free up CPU for a better tank.

Sometimes I get tired of missioning and want to do something different with my time. That's led me to mining across several different battleship hulls (Rokh, Domi, and Megathron). Was it the most efficient way to mine? No.

Was it nice being able to have 50-60k EHP and a full drone bay to pop people who can flip me? Oh yeah.

Different times now, but I probably would have used a Mach for the same purposes if I had one at the time.

mining machariel

Should i have blown his position, so that he would be ganked?

Because if you are asking me, mining in a machariel is asking to be ganked.

I can't decide if it's more wrong for a miner to use a macariel or for a combat ship to equip a mining laser. Can someone help me, my brain hurts?

i mined 74k units of veld in a rattlesnake earlier this evening, waiting for CVA to undock. never happened. did pop a good sized asteroid, though. it was amazing

later got on some kills with the 'snake, a flycatcher, and a basilisk

//ok the mining and a roam did not happen concurrently, and saying that CVA's refusal to undock was the cause for mining was an embellishment, but there was faction battleship mining and CVA station camping in the same evening.

hahahhaha "man, what happened to mining? CCP just blew the lid off everything by making veld super lucrative"

sorry, belt's closed
